Steve's is a local place we've been going to for brunch for years. It may not be as fancy as a lot of places but you won't find a warmer welcome, more terrific staff (Brenda and Lorena are a delight) and reliable, delicious food for breakfast, brunch or lunch. We LOVE this place!

Food was lacklustre and for the price not worth it. Sausages tasted greasy and mushy. Toast was thin and soggy. Bacon soaked in grease and fatty. Ham okay. Eggs were a little something I dont know what. Fried potatoes as opposed to the usual deep fried ones was nice to get. Coffee meh. There are no good basic restaurant options in downtown Hamilton. Drive to somewhere on the mountain instead.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. Everything tasted super fresh, and I especially recommend the eggs benny. The waitress was incredibly attentive and friendly throughout my visit.
At one point, a man came in, was told by the dishwasher that he could sit anywhere, but he abruptly left as he stuck the finger at the owners for not 'showing him more attention' despite being in there for 30 seconds . The staff handled it with total patience and professionalism....crazy typical Hamilton behaviour from the customer
