Always great whether for just a quick flat white, a snack or a full meal.
I got a latte here and it tasted good, but it wasn’t nearly warm enough. The milk also tasted kind of burnt as well. I’ll most likely return, but just something to keep in mind. I’m excited to try the food and the pastries look amazing! I’ll update this post when I do.

Another cute cafe! There is a bit of seating, although maybe a little cramped. Nice options for treats to choose from, but I think my highlight was the service provided by the barista! I ordered a hot matcha latte and I saw her take her time in whisking the matcha while crafting the drink. It tasted wonderful and had no clumps at all.

I came to check this place out because of the great reviews but nothing about this place makes me believe that these reviews are actually real. It seems like good customer service is only given to certain ‘types’ of people. I go to a lot of cafes around Hamilton and I think the most unwelcoming experience was here. I thought it was a one off but I have been there about 3-4 times already and usually the same person at the front and she is not welcoming at all. The food is alright, wouldn’t say it’s worth the cost and I wouldn’t recommend the coffee for those who know their coffee.

Great local gem with nice cozy vibes. Everyone is super nice and there's a great sense of community. Every Friday, they have live jazz with a different group each week. When its warm out, they play the music outside as opposed to inside. 10/10 would recommend.

I discovered Synonym Café during my trip to Hamilton, and honestly, it was such a pleasant surprise! My first visit blew me away — the food and coffee had such a unique and amazing flavour that I kept coming back for almost every meal after that 😄 Each time I returned, I enjoyed it even more. The vibe is super cozy, the staff are friendly, and it quickly became my favourite spot in the city. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in Hamilton!
