Amazing service… I order pick-up at 2:30 pm on Friday’s and hubby picks up the food at 3:30ish when he’s done work. The Pad Thai & Spicy noodle (with any meat) are perfectly flavourful and make the car smell tantalizing. Enough for a second meal the next day, which somehow becomes even more tasty! The owners are very friendly. We highly recommend! Schnadams-approved;)
Stopped in to have lunch with friends. Didn't think much about our restaurant pick except to find an easy way to meet up at a convenient location.
The food was so good. The ginger tea really nice. And, when the restataunt ran out of diet coke we saw our waiter go get more. Sir. You are a delight. We could have just had water.
Will definitely come back and we loved it!!!
I had time to kill before attending an event at the Ancaster Fairgrounds so I stopped here for dinner. I was very impressed with the food, the service, and the selection. I love Thai food, and this was some of the best I have ever had. Flavour was incredible, you can tell they use fresh ingredients, and serving size was more than enough, and I like big servings. The server told me it is just him and his mom taking care of everything, which made it even more impressive. This place will definitely make my rotation.

Thai Tamarind in Ancaster is a delightful hidden gem—modest from the outside, but inside you’ll find clean, cozy surroundings and genuinely warm service. The food is the real star: fresh, flavorful, and authentically Thai, from sweet Pad Thai to vibrant curries and standout options like Mango Fish or Tamarind Fish. Portions are generous and prices fair

It was a rather disappointing meal. The spicy stir fry in coconut milk, as far as we can taste or see had no coconut milk. The ginger shrimp barely had any ginger flavour. Generally not much flavour at all. I am allergic to bell peppers, so asked that they leave out the bell peppers, but the dish arrived with bell peppers. Neither dish had mushrooms as indicated. The broccoli and cauliflower were barely cooked.

Had lunch at Thai Tamarind, and it was fantastic. It started with a hot bowl of tom yum soup-flavourful, just the right amount of spice, and super comforting—plus a crispy spring roll that hit the spot. Then came the Pad Thai, which was exactly how it should be—savoury, a little sweet, and full of fresh ingredients. Portions were great, and the service was quick and friendly, perfect for a lunch break. Definitely coming back to try more!

If you’re looking for authentic Thai food in Ancaster, Thai Tamarind is the spot. This place is a true hidden gem — tucked away but absolutely worth finding. The flavors are bold, fresh, and beautifully balanced. You can really taste the care and authenticity in every bite.
From the rich curries to the perfectly spiced pad Thai and crispy spring rolls, everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The portions are generous, and the presentation is on point too.
What really stood out just as much as the food was the service. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely take pride in what they do. They were helpful with recommendations and made sure we felt taken care of throughout the meal.
Whether you’re already a fan of Thai cuisine or trying it for the first time, Thai Tamarind delivers in all the right ways. Highly recommend giving it a try — you won’t be disappointed!

I haven’t gagged like this since college. There’s a reason it is beside a gas station. Just go to Bangkok Spoon if you are wanting good Thai. Chicken was like chewing on a piece of bark. The pad Thai was sickly sweet and tasted like soy sauce and brown sugar. Only good item was the fresh spring roll. That was good. Oh and they forgot to give us the rice. Tamarind trouble.
