Excellent food, I’m always so happy with my orders from Thai Tamarind. The staff are always friendly and polite. The best Thai food in Ancaster hands down!

Ordered takeout and it was disappointing. The mango salad was half red onion and very little (tasteless) dressing, the Massaman curry was very oily and tasteless (my favourite dish), and the pad Thai seemed to have a sweet soy sauce rather than the traditional pad Thai. The steamed rice and crab Rangoon were both good. Have had good food from here in the past and was looking forward to this meal.

The food served here is unexpectedly good. Great presentation and great taste especially to the Tamarind delight and Mango fish! All the other 3 dishes we ordered tasted very good too! Don't miss out on this place!

Best green curry I ever had. The beef stir fried rice is amazing, the grilled beef nice and tender. The service exceptional. One of the best Thai restaurants I have ever been to.What a hidden gem.

Hands down the best Thai food in Hamilton. Authentic, delicious & great prices for the portions you get. I have friends who travel from St Catharines just for the food.

Love the location. Easy stop from the 403. The mango fresh rolls and mango chicken were delicious.
Hair in our rice and the stir fry is way too salty. Sweet and Sour sauce is extremely watered down. Didn't even offer a new rice or offer a discount on the food. Would not recommend.

This is one of those reviews I hate to do, because there's little to like about Thai Tamarind. My partner's crisp tofu was a tasteless, greasy mess, its only redeeming quality was the accompanying rice. My Pad Thai was similarly lackluster.Who knew you could screw up Thai food? Google said it was closed on Monday, although it was not. We probably would have been better off if it had been.

I had a ginger chicken dish that was so salty I debated not eating it. The Blu time I tasted ginger was when I ate a sliver of ginger. Very disappointed.

I didn't recognize this place as the same one I visited in 2016. Service was ok (not busy). What charmed me last time - well did not. ie. I could have judged the book by its cover this time. The food was NOT terrible but the chicken curry dish was far too salty. Also, I have ordered chicken curry without rice in the past (in several other places) but it has always had enough in it to fill me up. eg. there were only a token 3-4 short pieces of green beans in it. When I mentioned the saltiness and "lean on the bean" disappointments to the attention of the server in a friendly manner, a defensive response followed, with a "yah" about the salt and the suggestion that I "could've ordered a vegetable dish" instead. An apology or at least a "we will certainly consider these things for the future" would have been appreciated...I feel sad giving such a negative review. Without this response, I would have been able to give it a 3/5. Head up: Their spice levels tend to be less spicy.
