I stumbled across this pub when taking a break from being at the funeral home next door and it has remained our go to spot since. Even with it pretty much almost being very busy, the staff are great and the chef is consistent. The food is delicious and the portions are very generous. They have amazing specials every few days as well. Not at all your regular pub food however, that is on the menu as well. Old school atmosphere and great crowd. We make a new friend every time we go. We’ll see you soon, cheers!

Used to go here every week before pandemic! Changed a bit??? We ordered some take out. Very generous portions. HAd the lamb shank with mashed potatoes and veggies. Good!

I placed a relatively large take out order for a group of residents living in a long term care home. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The service was also excellent, very friendly and everything was exactly as ordered. The residents were so happy with their meals, and they were also all absolutely stuffed since the portion sizes are huge! Thank you so much Ale House for the fantastic meal!

Tucked away at the end of a small plaza on Upper Gage, The Ale House completely blew away all my expectations. From the outside, it looks like your typical strip mall pub—but once you step inside, it’s something special. The place is packed with character: vintage license plates, old-school signage, and even nostalgic currency encased in epoxy under the bar. It’s quirky, whimsical, and immediately feels like a hidden local treasure.
Four of us dined out on the patio, each ordering something different from the menu—and every single dish was a hit. Portions were huge, the presentation was spot on, and the flavors were incredible. I ordered the lamb shank dinner, and I can honestly say it was the best I’ve had in over 10 years—fall-off-the-bone tender and rich in flavor.
The nachos were piled high and loaded with goodness, and the wings were crisp, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. This place is firing on all cylinders, and I’m honestly shocked I hadn’t heard about it sooner.
Without a doubt, I’ll be back again (and again) to explore more of their menu. My next plan of attack is the 20 ounce Tomahawk steak on the menu…If you’re looking for top-tier comfort food with generous portions and a cool, nostalgic vibe—The Ale House is it.

Love the wings and the place itself patios a bonus
Hreat food and even better service. Menu is good, but the real treat is the specials (paper insert in menu). Sooo good. Portion size is hreat. Bring an appetite. Servers are always to help you with anything. The only con is that it's a little dark.

Met friends, they suggested Ale House. Man, was I happy they suggested it as I now to who reads this post. Was suggested to get the Tomahawk 20 oz. Steak, came with baked potato and Ceasar salad. So tender, cooked to perfction. Great service, tell it's a locals friendly sports bar. Other specials have me interested of going back, large menu as well. The cook even sent a third steak, he felt the two we got were not 20 oz. That alone had me feeling that I would enjoy being there. Thanks to a great experience!!!👍🥩🥔🥗
