Really hard to find. No sign or anything. Then when I walked in there was no hi welcome to the brain. Then I waited 10 min before I finally went up to ask for a drink. And he didn’t even know how to fix a drink. Overall bad experience.

If I could I’d give a big Fat Zero! I had a confrontation with a guy outside who said he was attempting to steal someone’s bike and the bartender gave me the boot for being a good person. Fire (them), grow up, get both sides of the story before ‘trying to assert your domincance’
The Brain is a James North treasure. So much has changed in the area but the Brain still has that early art crawl charm. Excellent selection of beer and cocktails. Emily and Connor are probably my favourite bartenders in the city.

I do not understand how this place has so many great reviews. The Caesar was disgustingly spicy, and the service is terrible everytime I visit. The beer selection was great at least. They don’t keep track of what you order ( no tabs) so they charge any amount they wish it seems. I was overcharged and then asked for a refund. The bartender said he didn’t know if he could process a refund. Correct me if I’m wrong but 2 there is absolutely no way that 2 beers were almost $50.00. He told me he would look into this and be right back. Instead, I was ignored so I ended up leaving after awhile..never coming back.
