I really like their soups. It is a comfort food, specially for cold days. Recommend

Addicted to the chicken pozole. It’s perfectly seasoned. It’s so nice to have a healthy lunch option near by. I always feel after eating it and it’s delicious.

The soup I ended up with was adequate—nothing special. Unfortunately, the service was terrible from start to finish. I initially ordered a different soup, only to be told after I had paid that it wasn’t available. Isn’t that something a customer should be informed of before paying? I was then forced to pick something else, and no apology was offered. On top of that, the staff had an attitude, which only made the experience worse. Overall, it was a disappointing visit. Hopefully staff will do better next time.

My friends and I stopped by The Burnt Tongue we hit up every now and then, and as always the food was delicious. Everything is consistently amazing, flavourful, and comforting!

The staff are always super kind and friendly, and this visit they really went above and beyond. They slightly messed up an order (honestly, not a big deal at all), but they fixed it right away without any issue. Then, to top it off, the boss gave us a free dessert to make up for it (even though they totally didn’t have to).

It’s little things like that that make a place stand out. Great food and great people. We’ll definitely be back again soon! :)

Not sure why people rave about the soup here. I ordered take out to try for the first time and was completely unimpressed.
I got the lentil soup which was suppose to have crispy onions and zaatar oil. It had nothing like that and tasted like Campbell's split pea soup from a can with rice added. My daughter had a tomato soup and couldn't believe how oily it was. She said it didn't taste very good and didn't finish it. My husband had the Cubano sandwich and said it was good, but not worth the $14.
Would not return.

We had the tuna melt, buffalo chicken melt, couple of burgers and vegan black bean burger, salads and fries.
Tasty, servings are large and the food is always great

The burnt tongue is mainly a soup and sandwich place. The food is decent, although expensive for what it is. I will say the grilled cheese and loaded pickle fries were delicious. The service is friendly but a bit slow. The atmosphere is very nice. It's a good spot for lunch or meeting a friend.

We had a grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup. Food was great, made quickly, perfect for a nutritious and quick lunch. Lots of seating. Had to part on a separate street in Locke.
