The soup I ended up with was adequate—nothing special. Unfortunately, the service was terrible from start to finish. I initially ordered a different soup, only to be told after I had paid that it wasn’t available. Isn’t that something a customer should be informed of before paying? I was then forced to pick something else, and no apology was offered. On top of that, the staff had an attitude, which only made the experience worse. Overall, it was a disappointing visit. My friends and I stopped by The Burnt Tongue we hit up every now and then, and as always the food was delicious. Everything is consistently amazing, flavourful, and comforting!

The staff are always super kind and friendly, and this visit they really went above and beyond. They slightly messed up an order (honestly, not a big deal at all), but they fixed it right away without any issue. Then, to top it off, the boss gave us a free dessert to make up for it (even...

The burnt tongue is mainly a soup and sandwich place. The food is decent, although expensive for what it is. I will say the grilled cheese and loaded pickle fries were delicious. The service is friendly but a bit slow. The atmosphere is very nice. It's a good spot for lunch or meeting a friend.
