Pretty cool place it was very busy when we went, and the food is amazing like all of the locations. Do think it’s a little bit pricey for what you’re getting

Ordered thru Uber Eats and when being delivered it was dropped all over the driveway. The bag was too thin and was wet. I called this location to see if they could assist me and told me that I could re-order and pick it up. That would mean another $100 charge as my refund will be more than 3 days. A manager was supposed to call, have heard nothing! Very disappointed in the service.

Love this location but can we please switch back to plastic bags or better brown bags, I had a soup, 2 buns and a sandwich and it must’ve been too heavy walking home or something because it ended up tearing the bag and ended up on the pavement

We recently visited The Burnt Tongue (King St) while vacationing in Canada from New Jersey. I really wanted to stay away from chain restaurants as much as possible and find local (affordable) places. Over the course of our week-long trip to Niagara and Toronto, this was one of my favorite places we ate! Prices were reasonable and food was delicious! We previewed the menu online 1st and when we arrived, the Black Bean Burger wasn't on the menu in-store. However, after asking, they made it for my husband with no issue at all (and he loved it). The hotdog my son had looked delicious and my meal (the sesame ginger slaw salad with added egg salad) was absolutely 5-stars. A MUCH needed lighter and veg-forward dinner. Bonus was the neighborhood was lovely. Cool shops to pop into, nice street vibe, ample parking, and dessert offerings nearby. SO awesome this place is open for dinner. HIGHLY recommend to locals and those visiting from afar!

If I lived closer to Hamilton, I would be at this restaurant every single day! Great food!

the tuna melt was flavorless and gave me an upset stomach, I didn't get my side, an apple and the carrot cake ice-cream sandwich on a hot day should have been tasty but it was not, also was too big. Prices are high for the menu and the service was gruff and he was expecting a 12%+ tip for counter service.
I do not recommend this place.

First off, I absolutely love this place, but I am writing this review out of protest. Unfortunately, there is only 1 vegan soup option available, and with their recent menu change, they got rid of my absolute favourite soup, the squash, sage, and lentil soup. It has been replaced with an alphabet soup, which is honestly worse than canned vegetable soup, and more expensive. Normally I love this place, the prices are good for the portion and quality of food you get, but I am bummed out that there is only 1 vegan friendly option, which is now not very good. A few weeks ago this was an absolute 5/5 place to eat that I would go to multiple times a week, but now there is no point when I can get better soup out of a can. I can't speak to the other non-vegan options because I have dietary restrictions, but I will say the black Bean burger is amazing and a great portion for price. They have a vote going for the next soup, but unfortunately, the new butternut squash soup will be a bisque, which from my understanding has dairy :(. Please bring back the vegan squash sage and lentil soup!!! I have crazy cravings for it now, and the Fortinos soup just isn't as good.
