We were visiting a friend on Saturday night. Chose the Capitol Bar, opposite side of Hamilton to where she lived. Food was extremely generous and more delicious than the menu described. Atmosphere and some specialty drinks made for a fun evening. Thank you to the staff being courteous and friendly. Highly recommended this gem on your next visit.

It was the most exceptional dining experience I have had in a while. The hubby and I tried it on a whim and I want it to be our special event dinner spot from now on. The selection is scrumptious and what my hubby and I ordered left me speechless!!! The baked feta app special was stunning and I am totally obsessed now with mushroom toast; and my husband couldn't say enough good things about his cheese burger.

I've been here several times over the years, and The Capitol always has a great atmosphere, from the staff to the customers. The bartenders all know what they are doing, and can mix you up something great. A great place to unwind after a day of work, or on the weekend.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. My wife and I went in on a whim (doing laundry across the street), and popped in because it was close, and it looked interesting on-line, but we were totally unprepared for how amazing it was. Had the baked feta with hot honey & figs to start, absolutely incredible. Wife had the mushroom toast (phenomenal), I had the cheeseburger (70/30 beef, and oh so flavourful). Good selection of beer and whiskey, as well. Definitely will be coming back 😁
