Had a great birthday celebration last night. One of the few nice places open on a Monday. Parking outside no problem. Hemingways, French martinis, beer and wine and a lot of other drinks on the menu. Staff were great with water refills. Had a smorgasbord meat and cheese plate and it was beautiful and delicious. And dessert. Highly recommend. They are open 7 days a week and have live music on weekends. Great bar area too if you don’t want to stay for a full meal.

The first time I went to Capitol Bar, it was such a fun night. The atmosphere, kind wait staff, good food and fabulous music by the Beelay Trio. I thought it maybe a one off, but last night was the same experience. Positive patrons and a neighborhood feel good food and the Beelays. Great night...a hidden gem in Hamilton.

My friend and I went to The Capitol Bar before a Forge game and we loved it. The food was great, they had some nice beers on tap, there were other fans getting ready for the game there, and the bartender was great. He made sure to check in with us and was very friendly and happy to chat. Next time I'm in town looking for a beer I'll certainly be thinking about The Capitol Bar!

The bar has a really cool and hip vibe. Layed back with an eclectic interior. They and a guy spinning vinyl. Great service and drinks. We didn't have any food, so I didn't rate it.
