After our walk on the Mountainview Park west pathway my wife and I stopped in for lunch one Saturday. She had the OG crispy chicken and I had the big cluck . Although mine cost less , it came with a side of tater tots while my wife got nothing , so I shared. Both sandwiches were juicy and delicious. Fountain drinks come with free refills . Service was fast , and the server was friendly and attentive. Nice little diner with clean washrooms and nice atmosphere . They’re only open until 2pm .

One of our appetizers (jalapeño cheddar biscuits) came frozen still on the inside. The server was gracious, offered to heat them through, that took 25 minutes. I ordered the tiger shrimp tacos, the shrimp was slightly larger the salad shrimp. Not ever again!!

Got ripped off. We order from Dirty South Downtown all the time. We decided to try the location on the mountain. The portions were incredibly disappointing. The pulled pork and the beef brisket both had virtually no meat compared to downtown. Massive bun with a tiny scoop of pulled pork. Two super thin slices of brisket.

My fiancée and I came here last night and frankly, we weren't all that impressed. For starters, she got an indescribable black fluff in her water and I found a small hair on my plate. To forget about those slight problems, the food would've had to be amazing which, unfortunately, it wasn't.Don't get me wrong, it wasn't horrible or even bad by any means, it just didn't live up to our expectations. We ordered a pound of boneless chicken breast and while the chicken tasted good, it wasn't as crispy as authentic southern fried chicken. The sauces were also misleading. The "hot honey" sauce was something I was particularly excited for and while it wasn't bad, it didn't taste like hot honey. It tasted more like an Asian inspired teriyaki sauce or something and the Louisiana butter sauce was basically just Buffalo sauce. Tasty but nothing to write home about. The cornbread and honey butter sounded tasty but again, I was mislead. The cornbread was not hot or fluffy. It tasted like they got it from a grocery store. While not bad, definitely not restaurant quality. The honey butter just tasted like butter and it was hard and difficult to spread. If I can say any positives, our server was nice , the prices were good and the atmosphere in there was pretty cool.In conclusion, if you find yourself in Hamilton, you can do a lot better than this place. It's not bad but painfully average in my eyes.

Food was decent, portion sizes were good and it was pretty affordable. However, the service was not good. There was something in my water & it took forever to get it replaced. I also felt rushed & the waitress was not friendly.

I love love love this place!! I stumbled on it a few months ago and I find myself day dreaming about “The Big Pig” pulled pork sandwich.

The mac and cheese wasn't as seasoned as I'm used to, being from Texas, it didn't have much of a taste. The cornbread was a bit overcooked, and both were cold. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat either, made me a bit nauseous. The service was great.

If you haven’t checked out Dirty South, go check it out!We went earlier this week for my husband's birthday. We ordered one od their trays (tray 2) plus a side of fries to feed our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids), and it was definitely enough!!Only 'complaint' was that there was only 2 staff working (kitchen staff and waitress), and it seemed to be busy. It took a while to get our food. The waitress did apologize for the wait!Great portions, delicious food. Definitely worth checking out!

The Dirty South on Concession Street in upper Hamilton is a fantastic restaurant with friendly staff. They cater to a diverse range of preferences and offer an impressive gluten-free menu. The well-proportioned sandwiches, especially the fried chicken options, are delightful. The pulled pork sandwich and generously sized poutine are also highlights. The pricing for drinks is reasonable.Although the restaurant is somewhat cozy due to its small size, finding a seat is manageable. Keep in mind that parking in the area is paid. Compared to the Barton Street location in a less desirable neighborhood, this one stands out as a better choice. Consideration for expansion or opening a location in Stoney Creek might enhance accessibility. The restaurant previously had a successful take-out option in Winona.Overall, it's a fantastic destination suitable for everyone, offering vegetarian and vegan choices as well. The only improvement could be gluten-free fries for a more inclusive menu.Vegetarian options: Lots of options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options.Parking: Tight area with parking on a busy street makes it difficult to come here.

Campari had drain flies which must have been in the bottle. Server never realised that when she poured the drink.
