We have hosted many events there in the pasted 2 years. Over the weekend we hosted our daughter's confirmation and everything was amazing. Sonny and Arhan along with the rest of the staff are great. The food is always tasty and fresh and enjoyed by all our guests. Thank you to the Express for making our events Stress free.

Food was really good. Wasn't busy for a late Saturday night dinner so fast to be seated, fast to be served and food to be plated.

I was in town for the Hamilton Marathon and enjoyed Hamilton's broad selection of Italian restaurants in my carb load. This was my third and final pasta meal, the night before the race.
I got the fettuccini pesto and it was very good, with a bright basil and garlic character to the pesto. The serving was large and definitely the best value of the pasta meals I got in Hamilton. I'd been especially excited to try their fettuccini -- I make my own fettuccini at home and am always eager to try fresh fettuccini when available. It was good, but a touch overcooked, not gummy or anything but not really any bite. I enjoyed the pasta a lot but do wish the fettuccini had been cooked a few seconds less to maintain more texture.
I'm not sure what happened but what a huge disappointment. The pizza used to be SO good - unfortunately it tasted nothing like it. It literally tasted like those pre made pizza kits or frozen pizzas. 😩
At management - express has always been known for the pizza so please look into this and bring back the original pizza ...but if you can't, I would highly recommend you remove pizza from your menu! :)
I do love the bread and dip and service was great and friendly!

We booked a large party there a few weeks ago. Communication for booking with Sunny was very good. We were seated in the front room which gave us some privacy. Aryan was our server. He was very attentive and did a great job. The food was good. It came out hot and made to order. We are a family of mostly Italians so we are a hard sell in an Italian eatery. The staff made our evening very memorable.

We had our son’s confirmation celebration at Express Restaurant on Grays Road, and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and everyone had an incredible evening. The staff were so friendly and accommodating — they truly went above and beyond to make the night special.
A big shout-out to Sunny, Santino, and their entire team for the outstanding hospitality and for making our celebration one to remember. Highly recommend Express Restaurant for any special occasion!

STORE-bought frozen dough pizza. For an Italian restaurant to serve pizza like this, is a disgrace to the heritage. Will never go back!!

This place use to be a pretty good Italian restaurant. I recently ordered a pizza and two desserts and I couldn’t have been more disappointment.
The desserts were nothing special, but the pizza was probably the worst thing I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The pizza dough tasted and looked like a thin crust frozen dough. It was like cardboard. The whole thing honestly tasted like you could have bought it in the frozen aisle of a grocery store. The cheese was really dry and extremely salty.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Brutal. Everything was dirty, service terribly slow and the restaurant was empty.

Average at best.
While the pizza was fine, the value for the cost just isn't there across the board. Portion or quality. Especially for a Bakery, I can think of a couple premium places where I'd pay double the cost and still get something 2-3x bigger.
It's a snack for 2, or a single serving lunch for a hungry fella.
Which there are no option on sizes and not much of an indication on what the only size they offer even is.
The garlic bread is just criminal lol.
A slightly better bread, but portion & quality is the same as any low end pizza spot... For the price and given the picture, I thought it'd have mozzarella on it, nope. Just garlic butter and a dash of Parmigiano cheese but at 3-4x the cost!
Seeing their website it all looked great, right away I was like I'm definitely coming back tomorrow and I know what I'm getting. I'll be trying out somewhere else instead.
Had a great lunch, great ambience
