Great place to lunch during the week. Fantastic patio. Service was attentive without being invasive. Lots to choose from on the menu. Would definitely return. Would like to see a better wine choices on the menu. Weekends are very busy with university students.

We had our 14G Soccer team Dinner ( 35 to 40 players and parents) last night while we attended a tournament in Hamilton. The Staff were friendly and efficient. Food came out quickly and Delicious. Very impressive with the dinner! The U14G Atlético Kingston Soccer Team

Had a great time at gown and gavel this evening. I ordered a coffee and sat next to the fire. They offered visitors to enjoy complimentary bonfire and s’mores! they were very good to their visitors during the Christmas market.

I have not been to the G and G for some time. I was just there for a small private function in the upstairs room. Just drinks. There is a bar and our server was great. I can't comment on food or anything else but I had a nice night out...

This past weekend I booked the upstairs to celebrate my moms 50th Birthday. From the beginning to the end, the service was phenomenal. During the booking process, I spoke with Diana, who was super helpful! She designed a catering menu and made me feel confident that they could assist me and my family with anything we would need. During the event the bartender and server were fantastic, my family kept telling me how impressed they all were. Great food, amazing customer connections. Thank you again for helping me set up an amazing event for all of my loved ones to enjoy!

What a great place to visit in an old part of Hamilton in the Hess Village. This pub was fantastic and served, in my opinion the best fish and chips I’ve had to date. Great atmosphere and service.

Gown and Gavel has been nothing but disappointing. I went for my friends birthday, paid the $20 for the fast lane and whoever the woman bouncer is was shown 4 pieces of valid id (G2, G1, Health Card and student id.) but did not let my 22 year old friend in because she claimed the license “didn’t look like her”. This woman was not only on a power trip but she was extremely disrespectful. Not to mention i watched her let the people in front of us in and at least 2 out of the 5 of them were 17 (I know this because I worked as a McMaster welcome week rep). She clearly was having a bad day and made a point of making sure everyone around her did as well. I suggest your team looks into if having this bouncer in your company is a good idea or not as she will continue to make you lose customers
