The food, staff, decor and everything else about this place is fantastic. Brought a big group of friends (even my 13yo niece) and everyone loved the food and had a great time. We will definitely be going here again next time we are in the Hamilton area.

Waited an hour and a half for 2 hot dogs and a shake. Hot dogs came after an over an hour, and 15 minutes later for the shake. Food was cold and honestly not the greatest. Super disappointed, was looking forward to finding a new vegan spot.

I had the dilly dog and my gawd! Best vegan hot dog EVER. The bun was even locally made; super fresh and toasted to perfection. The creamy dill sauce on top, along with the other fresh, delicious toppings make it a solid 10 outta 10. The homemade lemonade was awesome too, as was the mocktail. If you’re in Hamilton, GO HERE! I pray you don’t close because I am so coming back for that dilly dog.

Came here on my way out of town on Friday July 18th to head to a family wedding. I ordered ahead of time specifically because I had a time constraint as I had to catch a flight later that night. When I got to the restaurant to their defence it was quite busy so my order was not ready. Which was perfectly fine with however after waiting awhile I mentioned I did have to leave or I would risk missing my flight. I was then met with hostility from one of the staff members there that night. She kept telling me on repeat in a very condescending way that they had not forgot about me and I’d have my order when it was finished. Never was I insinuating that they had forgot about me, or that they were withholding my order I just wasn’t going to put myself in a position where I would be missing my flight for a 15$ wrap. Anyway after almost 40 minutes from my order time I received my order. I was quite taken back and I won’t be returning the customer service was that bad. I’m very disappointed as there aren’t many vegan spots out there and I was happy to support them until now. This just put a bad taste in my mouth.

The Hearty Hooligan is a must whenever I find myself in Hamilton. Trashy vegan food is my favourite type of vegan food after all, and no matter how hard I try to recreate these dishes at home, there is nothing at all like the original. Love the food, love the vibe, love the Hearty Hooligan!

This place was super helpful when it came to navigating their menu with my allergies. Food was delicious!!
First visit was enjoyable (I got the spaghetti and meatball burrito). Second time I got the pizza rolls and ice cream (they sell the Fairly Frosted brand). Perfect for a quiet summer weekend.

Mate, I’m a goth queen now, I’ve decided, because this milkshake SLAPPED. Going to change my wardrobe to all black now. Jokes aside the food was good and the vibes were better, amazing decoration, and the goth milkshake does actually go hard as so get stuck in.
