The Hearty Hooligan, top 5 when I think of vegan restaurants that I've been to. I had the Mac and Cheese and the fully loaded poutine a couple of times. Amazingly consistent quality and out of this world delicious. And from scratch! Love the warm and friendly staff. I am looking forward to continued greatness with the new ownership.

wow! this place blew me away. not only was the food incredible, but there were so many options with a wide range of price points, making this place accessible to a wide range of tastes and budgets. the atmosphere, decorations, and furniture were a treat as well — colourful, welcoming, eclectic, and comfortable. the staff were very knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. i’m very glad i discovered this place, i’ll definitely be back! the hearty hooligan is worth a trip to Hamilton in itself

Amazing comfort food in a cozy restaurant. Lovely staff. Seiten was delicious, and the huge mug if tea was very welcome on a cool day. Will be back.
The food, staff, decor and everything else about this place is fantastic. Brought a big group of friends (even my 13yo niece) and everyone loved the food and had a great time. We will definitely be going here again next time we are in the Hamilton area.

Waited an hour and a half for 2 hot dogs and a shake. Hot dogs came after an over an hour, and 15 minutes later for the shake. Food was cold and honestly not the greatest. Super disappointed, was looking forward to finding a new vegan spot.
