First visit was enjoyable (I got the spaghetti and meatball burrito). Second time I got the pizza rolls and ice cream (they sell the Fairly Frosted brand). Perfect for a quiet summer weekend.

Mate, I’m a goth queen now, I’ve decided, because this milkshake SLAPPED. Going to change my wardrobe to all black now. Jokes aside the food was good and the vibes were better, amazing decoration, and the goth milkshake does actually go hard as so get stuck in.

After 3 years I finally came back and ate at the new(not really new now) location on Ottawa St. Still absolutely amazing vegan comfort foods and baked goods. Staff were really fun. Prices are very reasonable.

The food here is incredible and the service is friendly. I had the protein breakfast bowl, and my companions had the smokey maple breakfast sandwich. We all were supremely impressed. My fiance and I are new to vegetarianism and have been considering incorporating more vegan options into our diet. Eating here made us realize that vegan food can be incredible.
My daughter and I enjoyed our visit here! We did a taste test in the backseat of our car while the rain came down! Chocolate coconut and fuzzy peach cupcake, two cookies and two creme eggs! Yumm! The chocolate cupcake was soo good! And the texture of the crème egg “goo” as me and my daughter call it, is just the same as I remember it. Mimicking flavours is easy but texture and mouth feel is harder!! So good job!

I’ve only ever ordered through DoorDash and every single time it’s spectacular. They’re always quick, the food is always still hot and the taste is immaculate. I recently moved back to Hamilton for Kitchener and I couldn’t wait to have my Hearty Hooligan again. Me and my girlfriend aren’t Vegan. But if you are scared to try plant based or vegan food, come try the hearty hooligan first.

The owner was awesome! She was super friendly and was very kind. She was the only one working that evening (at least I think she was?) but she was a total professional at work! The decor everywhere was incredible, funky, and colorful, and I absolutely loved the comfy vibe. Also the food there is literally amazing! It tasted SO good. I was introduced to it by people who tend to regularly get food from there. I still find it crazy how the stuff there is all vegan too! I'm 100% planning to go again eventually. And I'm definitely recommending it to all my friends❤️

We've dined a few times and gotten take out. I was impressed by their self proclaimed support of the LGBT Community. So as a member of this community I was interested in a PT job. I had an interview, then a working interview & was told I would hear soon. I waited weeks, texted them many times ( no response) so eventually I took a PT server job on Locke St. Hearty Hooligan is a place we will never return to & have been telling our LGBT friends about. Not at all professional behavior for an establishment that self proclaims a great deal of support for the LGBT Community. Absolutely did not happen in my experience. Shame !!
