The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Hamilton Mountain

the cocktails I ordered were watery, the meat was tasty, the side dishes were not. I recommend the wine. the service was great, but there was too much information. The time I was there was a full house and so many loud people that even the person I was talking to couldn't hear me.

This location is nice and clean just like all the other Kegs. The service was a little slow from our server Claire, from the greet right up until billing. Had to wait 10 mins before she came to take our drinks. Then it was another 10 to get our food in, she seemed a bit abrasive when we said we weren’t going to order apps because we weren’t that hungry lol. Bright side was it only took about 20 mins for the food to come to the table. Also on the menu it says their steaks come with seasonal vegetables and your choice of side. So when my partner got his 14oz prime rib with mash and fried onion straws I asked Claire if his meal was supposed to come with veggies and she said all of the steaks come with veggies except the prime rib. That’s fine and all but the menu doesn’t state that and she didnt ask mention that to us when taking the order. No big deal but she gave us the impression like we were being cheap for asking lol. I got the sirloin with the twice baked potato which you can’t go wrong with. Both steaks were on the saltier side but it was cooked well overall.

We were there on November 12th for my daughter's birthday. The food was, as always, amazing but the service from our server Jessica P exceeded expectations! Jess made it a night to remember with great food and drink suggestions, pleasant conversation and lots of laughs. Perfect night :)

We usually sit a bar and order apps. which are great. Birthday just passed and had dinner and gave bartender free rain on making drinks for us. Loved it? Not cheap, though.

Checked in for a birthday party. What a beautiful experience we enjoyed here. Delicious meal and desssert . The steak was superb, so tender and juicy cooked to perfection. Our server Ben was awesome, attentive and so pleasant .

Firstly would like to say I had a Fantastic Sunday dinner with my Beautiful Aunt at The Keg on the Mountain!
I would like to say our Server or should say Profesional Waiter Ben was a true Gentleman and Class Act!
Being in the Service Industr y most of my Life, it was so nice to have a Waiter like Ben giving us both a wonderful experience this evening! Times have changed since I have been in the same position as Ben. And find customer service not the same as it was back in my day! But Ben brought that back to me this evening!
Salute to you Ben and you definitely are old school!

We recently celebrated our third anniversary at this location and, unfortunately, found the experience wasn’t quite as it used to be. The restaurant seemed understaffed and unprepared. This is the only location I’ve visited where they frequently run out of prime rib—a trend I’ve noticed over the years.

Our server was friendly, despite clearly being rushed due to how busy it was. We ordered right away, understanding it was a high-demand evening. However, as we were finishing our salads, we were informed that our main course was unavailable. It appeared our meal order either wasn’t placed or was reallocated to another table. This lack of communication was disappointing, particularly since, as a server myself, I understand how essential it is to inform guests early on when items are low.

The manager, on the other hand, was very understanding and graciously comped our meal, for which we were thankful. She handled the situation well, and we appreciate her efforts. Still, it was disappointing to leave without the anniversary meal we had planned.

Later, we called the Waterdown location and had a wonderful experience there, reminiscent of the classic quality and service The Keg is known for. For anyone celebrating a special occasion, I would recommend the Waterdown location for a more reliable and elevated experience.

The Keg is the quintessential Canadian Steak house. Always consistently delicious. If it's not, they make it right. Steak is always delicious and cooked perfect, wedge salad, twice baked potatoes, veg, mash, lobster, Billy Miners Pie...
