The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Waterdown

Booked the Thanksgiving dinner far in advance, drove 40 minutes to this location and they had already sold out of the food. Very disappointing that no one could have let us know before hand as that was the only reason we went.

All was really great and thank you for saving turkey dinners for us (much appreciated). Noise level was very noisy and it was difficult to listen to our conversation.

Food was delicious. Kris our server was so knowledgable, walked us through many options and suggestions. Had a great experience. 10/10

The Waterdown Keg is an amazing place to eat! My husband and I have eaten here many times, and have always been treated to excellent and friendly service. They have a choice of things on the menu, but let's face it: if you're going to the Keg, you're going for the steak. Every steak I have eaten here has been delicious and cooked to perfection. The appetizers and sides are also very tasty. The steaks are the best I've ever had, and that goes for the shrimp cocktail as well. I'm celiac and the management and servers have always been respectful and helpful in choosing my food. Lovely patio in the summer, cozy bar area all year round, and just the absolutely best place to go for a memorable meal!

Staff is always pleasant. I would like to say that the manager there is amazing. He goes above and beyond in my opinion. I have been there over a dozen times and he on many occasions is always checking in and he seems like he's always on top of things. As for this most recent visit, I believe Suzy was taking care of us and she is thee epitome of what you would expect and want while dining out. Overall pleasant experience. I wish the keg would offer options such as grassfed/finished steak and maybe organic veggies with some kombucha to drink. But outside of that no complaints here.

My second birthday at The Keg was a disaster. Respect to the kitchen — the food is always outstanding, delicious, and top quality. But the service? Completely unacceptable.

Last year, on my actual birthday, I was refused a birthday cake. When I ordered an Aperol, the server demanded ID. I had all my documents on my phone, but she refused to accept them and said only physical ID counts. So no cake, no drink.

This year, we came on the 20th to celebrate. My boyfriend clearly said it was my birthday, the server even wished me happy birthday — and this time she didn’t even bother asking for my ID. I got my Aperol, but once again, no cake. Meanwhile, I watched two other tables around us happily receive theirs.

Twice now, The Keg has ruined what should have been a simple, special moment. Is it really that hard to treat birthday guests equally? For a place with such amazing food, the lack of consistency and care in service is shocking.

It was okay. One thing though is we were seated half an hour after our reservation time. And it didn’t seem like it was an isolated situation just for us based off the host apologizing for the wait to everyone that got called up. Understaffed? overbooked? Who knows. By the time we left it was almost 2.5 hours since our reservation time. Just long wait for mains etc. Food was fine though. I’ve heard good things about this location and it was the first time going to the waterdown one but probably the last.

I Had a baseball streak and. I loved it Normally i always have a NY strip, My wife had the garlic shrimp and they were fantastic.. one of our better keg experiences.
