Waited 45 minutes to get served. Claim was that it was a very hot day and the kitchen was too hot for the cook, who needed to take breaks and rehydrate. I can sympathize with the cook but first and foremost, the restaurant should have venting, fans, air conditioning to keep staff safe. Second, the server ought to have informed us that the kitchen service was slow due to heat issues so we could make a guided decision to stay or go. PS there was only one other table of four and one table of one so volume wasn’t an issue.

Honestly just a really nice little spot in the s village area. You feel like an adult or like you want to go to a pub? This is the place to go. Great service and friendly staff.

What a great place, our server was great and very friendly and quick. Manager dropped by to check in too. We grabbed some drinks and snacks before seeing the Toronto Rock play.
Great service everytime, the kind of place where " everybody knows your name",well at least the servers do, as well as your typical order. Great English style pub that serves equally delicious British style pub fare. One of my favourite Hamilton venues, and one of the few places still holding Hess Village together.
