The Little Grasshopper Cafe

Honestly one of my favourite little Portuguese places in town. The ladies are super friendly and are from the islands so when I take my dad there we chit chat about the islands.

Food is always the best, my mouth constantly waters for a bifana or Chicana sandwich !

Definitely recommend trying this place!

Hubby and I had a craving the other day so we popped into Grasshopper for spaghetti with meat sauce because it's hands down the BEST I've ever had. It's all made fresh in front of you, the portions are great and the staff is the sweetest. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

The desserts are amazing! Best pasteis de nata that I've had in Canada so far. Service was good. Vegan options available.

This was my first time here and I loved it. I had the basa fish and rice. Everything was delicious. I can’t wait to try more of their menu. Highly recommend!

I can Never give you a picture, sorry, I ate it. My meal is always so good, & tasty ! Service was top notch. They are from Hamilton we drive over 45 minutes to get here, so worth it. Smells good, Tastes good ! Thanks Jessica we will definitely be back.

I order from The Little Grasshopper somewhat often. The ladies are wonderful and the reason I go back is because the food is great and the cost is good. I know I'm going to get a decent meal. I was rude to one of the ladies yesterday and that wasn't warranted. I struggle with a couple of things and I want them to know they do an excellent job.

Absolutely amazingly good food. Do not get diswayed by location. Everything was top notch. Sweet potatoes fries best I have ever tasted. I had the shaggy salad for $11.00 large was amazing, very good portion size. I shared it and still was full. Great flavors, great price, great service, and atmosphere. I do not usually give this good of a review. Will definitely come back with my friends. Let's keep little restaurants like this in business. 🥰

The prices here are incredible!!! Fantastic value for delicious food. It's hard to pick a favourite. The marinara was so good on the chicken parm sandwich with a fresh bun. The sweet potato fries were PERFECT, and their salads are wonderfully complex, fresh, and delicious. I ate the chicken while my vegetarian friend happily enjoyed their salad.

The server was also very kind and patient while I took forever deciding which of the great menu options to choose. Also the place itself is a nice intimate space that feels cozy, but has plenty of space between tables so you don't feel crammed/could bring a stroller in if needed. 100/10 I will be telling my friends about this place, what a gem.

Quaint little shop, family run business. The food was truly amazing, and portions are large.
We got our meal to go, but the staff were super friendly, and is a nice little location.
Fact that is an open kitchen, you see the food being prepared also.

Have our company party there every year. Food and service 10 outta 10 ..love this place they cook with so much love , you feel like home ..highly recommend

Great food, great service and great music. I love every single one of their daily soups, and the sandwiches are delicious and affordable.
I have lunch here multiple times a month and they never disappoint.

I visited The Little Grasshopper Cafe and was delighted with the experience. I tried the “De la Casa” dish, and the meat was delicious, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The salad was fresh, and the cream tart was simply delicious. The fries were ordinary, but the service was excellent; The person who attended us was very attentive and always had a smile. The place was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom, which is important, was very clean. The only thing I would change is the fries, as the meat is so good that the fries seem very plain.
