We celebrated my mother’s birthday at the Squire. Everything was perfect, from making the initial reservation to the food and the service from Liz, we had a lovely evening. Liz took great care of us and helped make our celebration perfect. The atrium is a great space for a larger group (there were 10 of us) - it felt very intimate but not overly formal. The menu has enough variety but not overwhelming- and all of what we ordered was perfectly prepared. Thank you for making my mother’s birthday special!

Everything about my experience was fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive and the food and drinks were excellent.
A special shout-out to our server, Fi she was wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely attentive, she made the experience even better. I also really enjoyed the featured white wine; her recommendation was perfect and paired beautifully with the meal.
It’s clear that a lot of care goes into creating such a great experience and I just wanted to say thank you for maintaining such a high standard. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending The Squire on Locke to friends and colleagues.

I’ve been a regular here at the squire on Locke since it opened. It has the best Guinness in Hamilton and I dine here 3 to 4 times a week. The wings are to die for and the gnocchi is heaven on earth. Staff is extraordinary.

Went there as a date with my husband and we were treated so finely, the server was friendly and efficient, we never felt neglected one minute. The food was delicious, I had the Dublin Meatloaf which I recommend. 10/10 will go again.

Service is horrible place a 1/4 full and they ask if we have reservations 15 minutes later and still no Service not even a drink this would never happen on Fennel or upper james screw squires on lock you lost my business

My friend and I went for dinner. I had the fish tacos, she had the fish and chips. They were both delicious. The waitress was lovely, very attentive, checked up on us several times. There was live music too. A great place!

Our first visit to The Squire at Locke St was also to celebrate our latest wedding anniversary. The food was good and plentiful - we had dumplings for starters, the fish tacos and the curry dish for mains and shared the toffee pudding for dessert. It's not cheap but it's good. The service was cheerful, friendly but not overly attentive (a good thing!). We liked the space indoors, comfortable and pleasant with reminders of Scotland and Ireland around.
