Poorly stocked & very slow service. Kind of embarrassing to say this is the first Tims. Brought my family here visiting and it was underwhelming
really cute place to visit if you’re visiting hamilton. plenty of seating, parking and elevator available.

Food/drinks are good but there are never enough people working. The people taking orders are the ones fulfilling them, so the lines get long. They also are very iffy on if they’ll have basic things on the menu.
The employees are doing their best, but management… Put more people on the schedule and stock before you run out. You’re the first location, a mini museum, but you’re not meeting standards. Tim wouldn’t be proud :(

Definitely worth a visit if you are a tim horton's fan! Upstairs from the restaurant there is an adorable little Tim Horton's museum with the entire history of the restaurant. They had a cute little counter display, all of the uniforms, the roll up the rim cups, collector cups, etc. Such a fun stop!

I went there because I heard it was the first Tim Hortons store in Canada, but I was very disappointed. Actually, I didn't have much expectations because the first Starbucks store was nothing special, but the staff was unfriendly, the bathroom was dirty (plus, you had to ask them to open it without giving you a pin number), and there were only a few old items half-heartedly displayed on the second floor. There are no goods that can only be purchased here. There is no need to go to the first branch.

Unfortunately these are reoccurring issues: they are always out of supplies and only realise this after making an order or after paying for it, and always after a customer has been waiting. Why is there no check before opening or note left end of shift? (These are basic kitchen practices) How are you out of medium lids while that is the size all advertising pushes? (Always say they are waiting for the truck. You never order request refills when you are out, you order before you run out to avoid this) How does no staff know when the store is out of tea until they are midway making the order? (Again no communication, no checks) The assistant manager is always running around in a panic, barking at staff who quip back at him.
The staff here needs proper SUPPORT and some practical training. This is the fault of the franchise owner.

Service was horrible. Much like most Tim's these days. 2 people in front of us and it took 5 min for them to take our order and 10 more to get it to us. Mid day half of their racks were empty. hamilton grimy as you can get.

Very good!
Why is it closed at 8pm. ?
No signage if the door to show open and close times. Lights fully on so it looked open.
The first Tim Horton coffee shop had a really good concept. It opened in 1964 and the building has been updated and rebuilt three times. It’s a small place worth visiting!

I loved stopping by Tim Hortons first ever location while traveling! The coffee was great and had an amazing doughnut as the experience was great! The staff were friendly and helpful! I really enjoyed the museum upstairs as it has a lot of great exhibitions! Highly recommend it when visiting Hamilton!
