I was visiting Hamilton for the day and thought I’d grab some breakfast when I first arrived. Toby’s is very close to the go station so it was convenient and thought I’d try it out. Right as I walked in to the establishment I was greeted with a rude and hostile attitude from the server Micheal !
I was unaware that it was self seating and was yelled at to find my own seat. I should have seen that as the first red flag. After I seated myself and looked at the menu I asked a simple question if the French toast was accompanied by any side, because I didn’t want to over order by mistake, Micheal’s responded “it doesn’t say it on the menu does it?” I was appalled by this !
The whole time he served only rude tones and sarcastic/ passive aggressive comments. He even threw a tray on the table with anger , didn’t make it a very welcoming.
This was my first and last time visiting your establishment, please have a talk with your staff member Micheal on improving his customer service

Went for dinner before a show at First Ontario Concert Hall. Perfect location across the street. Matthew our waiter was friendly & attentive. The roasted chicken leg dinner was delicious.

Our experienc at Toby's was top notch. The staff were friendly and their service was quick. The food arrived quickly and tasted fresh. The place has a cozy vibe and you feel at home. I had the all day breakfast and my husband had a special from the board.

Just had breakfast and it was amazing. Salmon dill Benny, very tasty. Sever Kathy was very friendly and on point for a busy morning. Rest of staff seemed flawless as well. Older style diner which is exactly what I wanted. Will definitely go back. Ty
