The soup tastes good but I believe I had a reaction from msg when I went there recently as I felt an overwhelming hot feeling, nausea and mild headache while eating which continued for a couple hours. Not sure if it was the soup broth, the pork belly or the chili oil I added that may contain msg. The first couple times I ate there I had a more mild response but this last time I had a more severe response. Just something to be aware of for those more sensitive.
Their ramen is extremely salty and overpriced. The service is a little slow but fairly personal. The atmosphere reminds me a bit of the ramen shops you'll see in Japanese movies.
The kashu pork melts in your mouth, the ramen eggs are perfectly cooked ("8 minute eggs"), the broth (tonkatsu) is delicious, and the staff (owners?) were super nice. For ramen connoisseurs, this place is legit! A surprisingly polished gem in this part of town.
