Our meetup group recently hosted a special dinner at the Trocadero with 75 people. It brought back childhood memories of many a family dinner. The food was as delicious as I remember. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the nostalgia of the event. Kudos to the chef and servers who made this a fun night for all. Still the best Italian food ever! Wish they were regularly open. Currently open for occasional special events and move shoots. We were just lucky to get to experience it.
COVID regs in place - 10 inside dining. Family run since the 40's, same decor as 60's, basic although delicious Italian fare. We had shrimp & veg risotto (sauce to die for), plus caeser salad as apps. Mains, veal Parm and veal scallopini, with house made pasta. Reservations recommended. Passport parking lot across the street or at meters on Barton.
Fantastic. How does a restaurant stay in business for 75 years? Serving great food. That's how. Upscale Italian food. Check. A quiet, personal atmosphere. Check. Attentive staff. Check. Elegant decor. Check. Private dining room for small functions. Check. Kid friendly. Check. Prices are what you expect from a quality restaurant and hours of operation are extremely limited so plan your trip and make a reservation. It's worth the effort!
