Had a great dinner with the girls. The service was great and we loved the winter prefix menu they offer - 55$ for 3 course (what a steal). Highly recommend this restaurant.

First time visiting Undefined and enjoyed the eggs Benedict with avocado & smoky bacon on their Saturday brunch/lunch menu. Our server was terrific, and the atmosphere was lively. Tables are close together but we didn't feel so close that we were part of our neighbouring diners conversation. The bar looks like a fun spot to sit, next time we visit.

We had a nice table of 9 people who were all served quickly and accurately. The food was great.

We now understand why this place has some poor reviews. Our experience was lacklustre. Food was okay, not living up the restaurant's billing and potential. Wagyu steak was overcooked, undersalted and lukewarm. The Hibachi seems to be a decoration, not functional. Waitress was great, ambience is nice. We ordered five dishes for two people and none would call us back for another visit. We're not surprised there are a lot of 5 star reviews, because the place 'feels' like it had potential. Perhaps the head chef had the day off, we don't know. We wouldn't discourage people to try it, but we don't plan to return ... we'll stick to our usual dependable restaurants. We won't say that getting a $98 parking ticket didn't sour our experience, but even without that nasty surcharge we wouldn't likely be returning.

This is gem of a restaurant on the King William Street stretch in downtown Hamilton. The menu is small (which I actually prefer) but the choices are interesting. We had the Wagyu Hibachi steak. At first glance, the portion looked small for the two of us, but with a side of carrots (which also looked small) and the frites, there was enough food. All three dishes were excellent and worked very well together. The chef obviously takes special care to make the food interesting and tasty and visually appealing. There were also very interesting cocktail offerings (including mocktails). The server, Maya, was attentive and very pleasant. I recommend this restaurant and will return.

This was the third year that we attended the New Year's Eve Experience at Undefined and I confess to be sorely disappointed. While the food quality was consistent with our previous experiences, everything else lacking. The food selections were standard at best, and the service was mediocre. We chose to have drink pairings with our meal all of which did not arrive with our food, negating the whole point of having a drink pairing. The cost of the tasting menu is significant and I do not believe I recieved value for my money or the new years eve experience I've come to expect from Undefined.

Brunch is very good, nice mimosas, the butter milk biscuits are awesome, with butter and marmalade or strawberry cream...Americano coffee is outstanding! Portions are big, so sharing is the way to go. Only downside, tables are to close together and can be very distracting and difficult to converse.

The steak was awesome. I wanted more. I want to go back for the steak. The drinks were good too. The price was high but I guess everything is more expensive now

Some menu items were not available and with a small menu this is not good. Service was quite slow. Waited quite a while to be asked for coffee. Burger was undercooked

Everything was exceptional. The food, drink and service, all contributed to a lively atmosphere. A few items unavailable but the menu still did not disappoint. Would definitely recommend your visit and will most certainly be back to try those options we missed.

Unfortunately, we had a not great experience for brunch this morning. Vibes were good in the beginning. It was a cute spot and we got the burrata to start which was delicious. We were one of 3 tables, so it was pretty quiet. We notified the server when we ordered the burrata of my severe nut allergy. She said she'd make a note for the kitchen although there were no nuts on it. Shortly after that, we ordered 2 of the bennies, one of which was the bacon avocado. It came to the table and looked delicious. I took one bite and immediately knew something was off—my throat, tongue and lips immediately got itchy. We asked the server if somehow it could have nuts in it and she was a bit flustered and said she thought no, but maybe there was peanuts she wondered after another minute. Some urgency and care was definitely missing. We asked her to please go double check ASAP with the kitchen. And she reported back that yes, there was apparently cashews in the salsa of this dish which she’d missed. Again, we'd noted my severe nut allergy when we ordered the starter. Cashews were also not noted in the menu, which is a huge miss on the restaurant's end, in my view, for such a common allergen in a dish like avocado eggs benny, where you would typically not expect nuts. Please consider making this more overt in your menu. Luckily, I only had one bite, so my reaction was manageable, but it's still a situation that should be taken seriously. The service and level of care following this was not great. Our server apologized and was obviously flustered, and I realize our tone shifted a bit after this experience. It was clear she didn't really know how to handle things after this, which we understand to some extent. But the severity of the situation was lacking. No one else spoke to us (like a manager on duty or shift lead, etc.) It didn't look like our server had much/any support or direction to help her deal with this, perhaps because it was in the early AM. Our server noted that of course she'd take my meal off the bill...which I hope at this point, would just be a given. We paid the rest of the bill, minus my hidden cashew benny I had one bite of, and left.

I understand mistakes will happen. But it's unfortunate as we had such good vibes initially and were really disappointed with the way the situation was handled. Again, please consider making menus more overt about this kind of thing so people like me with severe allergies can better do our own due diligence.

We ordered the hangar steak it was delicious and cooked perfectly. My two friends ordered the same because they were out of the ribs and the pork belly. It was disappointing to them considering how small the menu it didn't leave much option. The service was great and our waitress was very pleasant.
