I will never set foot in this place again and I would have given a zero star if it was an option! Few years, we decided to try it out to support local bussiness, turned out, we had to leave before even getting anything. I don't know if there is hidden rule for this high tea place, apprently you have to order a set each person otherwise it is a ' too little of an order', they refused to serve us unless we order an extra order after the fact the server took the order and said nothing initially. I've been other tea houses, a pot of tea and a scone, you can sit there as long as you want!! Who do they think they are to belittle customers and reinforce those rules as they go! I'm relifed to see that the food review is just as bad, didn't miss out much!

Every time I contact this place someone is rude, maybe it's just one person but I came into the place before it opened (I didn't know they were still closed in the morning) and I asked if they had any scones/if they were actually open yet and the woman in the kitchen seemed rude and didn't care and it felt very awkward. I then call today at 4:30 to see if they have any scones left so I can drive over and whoever answered told me they were closed, didn't give any reason either. I won't bother with this place and go to Tea at the White House instead.....

Unfortunately I did not get her name, but whoever the single server was working yesterday saved our entire high tea experience. If you’re looking for high tea in the Dundas/Hamilton area you are kind of limited and unfortunately this is one of your options. I took my gramma here yesterday and we were both so disappointed. The quality of food served to us was kind of a joke. The sandwiches were very boring and sparse- nothing cute, nothing delicious or unique. The scones were like rocks sprinkled with white sugar. They did however serve real Devonshire cream which was a plus, but the jam was out of a jar. The worst part of the $40 !!! Food tier was the pitiful “desserts” the cookies and chocolates were from dollarama- the fruit was a joke and the mini cupcake and cheesecake were definitely from a store/ nothing home made?!?! The tea selection was good and honestly our waitress was so so nice and lovely to talk to she saved the day. I would come back to talk to her! The high tea was not worth $100 for the two of us.

Blew my mind. I took my mom here for high tea and we both loved it! I don't even like sandwiches, but I gobbled them ALL up! The scones and clotted cream were unreal! The dessert tier was surprisingly my least favorite (and I have quite the sweet tooth!), everything on it was delicious but it just couldn't stand up to those scones and sandwiches!

Friendly excellent service. A warm, not crowded environment and scones to die for. Lunch with friends: as well as a high tea we had selections for the lunch menu which were also delicious.

7 of us were here to celebrate an upcoming Wedding and were greeted and treated by all Staff with open arms. The Owner ( forgive my forgetting her name ) came to our table and introduced herself, and also came over when were about to leave- we thanked her for the fabulous service, and fabulous food. Such fresh, tasty, and beautifully plated sandwiches, scones ( to die for ) and dessert goodies. A new menu item was a chicken/apple salad on a flaky 'tart' which was a hit with our table. We all left with doggie bags and would recommend an afternoon at this lovely Tea House

The other day, I had the pleasure of sharing tea with friends at the Tea House. This was my first visit to the Tea House. I had a lovely time, enjoying a sample of very fresh sandwiches and scones ( so delicious!!!). The staff were attentive and friendly. The ambiance quaint and the table setting lovely. An outdoor patio is available as well, so I am looking forward to sitting outside on my next visit. I will keep this lovely spot in mind if I ever need a venue for any kind of family celebration! Very friendly and accommodating establishment! Thank you for a very nice, afternoon tea experience!

Just recently I had the pleasure of having high tea at the Waterdown Teahouse with my girlfriends. The ambience, food and exceptional service will have us returning. The scones are the best we have ever had and the sandwiches were so fresh and tasty. During our luncheon the owner of the teahouse came to our table to chat, such a nice personal touch, and to ensure that everything was satisfactory. Such a lovely afternoon. Cathy

Held my daughter’s Bridal Shower at the tea house and had a wonderful day. The staff was fantastic, the food delicious and the venue itself was absolutely beautiful out on the patio. My guests had nothing but wonderful comments to say about the tea house experience. Thanks to Dinah and her staff for a fabulous day.

What a wonderful experience! Consistently amazing service. High tea is delicious! High quality tea selections, tasty sandwiches, treats and the scones are the best I have ever tasted! Such a friendly environment. Will be back soon!

Dirty dishes. Spoilt fruits. Micro aggressions. Terrible Service, not worth the drive. Would never visit this place. We visited on a Sunday long weekend for their opening appointment. Katherine was my server she was horrid. Rude dismissive, condescending, she didn’t give me time to pick me own tea, she picked it for me! She was hostile, she kept coming over with telling we had to rush. She was clearly biased. She didn’t spend any time explain the menu to us but spent time chatting and socializing with other tables. I’ve had better tea experiences in Ontario and this isn’t it. I’m waiting to speak with their management and will update with photos(of the dirty cutlery and dinnerware)… I don’t want anyone wasting their money going here. Until then here is picture of the $40 tier we got, with spare food and old fruits. This was not worth our $200 bill for 4 people.

Today bring Mothers Day we got to experience the Waterdown Tea House. We enjoyed every bit of our Mothers Day tea. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted. The selection of teas were fabulous....so many choices. The cranberry chicken salad with apples was my absolute favourite. The Scones with cream and jam....so crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Staff were attentive and friendly! It truly was a wonderful experience for both my mom and my daughter's first Mothers Day tea!Thank you for making the day so special and for all your hard work.

Having Afternoon Tea is supposed to be relaxing but this Tea House would not give you that. Although the food are good but the environment and service are not. Not only the seats are tight and crowed but the servers made us felt super stress. They would come every 10 mins saying "Have you start eating yet?". They will go to tables and rudely said, " We have your table booked for another group. Here are your containers to pack your food and here is the bill." We understand there is a time limit and other bookings but they could have express in a nicer and more polite way. They literally made everyone felt like hurry, sit down, eat, pay your bill and get out of here so we can make more money. I have tried so many different Tea House and if you are looking for a place to relax and catch up with your girlfriends, this might not be the place.
