My wife and I have been eating here since moving to Ancaster 4 years ago. After trying the big name restaurants on Golf Links and being not too impressed someone suggested West End Diner. We were thrilled with everything the first time and every time since. We go several times a month, for breakfast or dinner. The quality of the food is amazing, the menu has something for everyone and staff are always there to make adjustments if requested. The servings are ENORMOUS!! We constantly have doggie bags!! And the price is very reasonable. The staff are always friendly and helpful and add to the dinning experience. We’re always looking forward to our next visit.

My son and I visited this afternoon while visiting him at University. Staff was friendly. Food was good when it came. Took gor ever and they were not slammed. I guess when some things are made from scratch (burger) ir takes a while. But people who came after us got food before us. I know, weird. The only negative outside of that was the temperature. Almost like they were trying yo save money as it was freezing in there and people kept their jackets on. Not exactly cheap for two. I expect to pay less than $50 dollars plus 10 tip for 2 at a diner. But we will probably go back for a second time. Portions size was good. Sorry no pics of food...just my pic of the blue plate special menu.

Just the nicest people and the food was awesome. I wish every breakfast spot was this great. Never a moment without coffee and even the cooks say good bye and make sure you had a great meal! PS the pancakes were delicious and the home fries are a 10/10

This is a nice little diner in Hamilton. We were disappointed that we had to wait close to an hour for our meals. The server was friendly. When the food arrived, the portions were generous. The chicken tenders we ordered were overcooked. Unfortunately, we don't plan to visit here again.

I’ve been to West End Diner many times over the years, and it’s always a reliable spot when you want good comfort food in a friendly, local setting. The portions are generous, prices are fair, and the staff is consistently warm and attentive.
Breakfast is definitely their strong point, but the lunch and dinner options have always hit the spot too.
Overall, a great little place if you’re craving classic diner food with good service. I’ll definitely come back.
