Just had to call public health because two ready made food items were riddled with what looked like short corse white dog hair. I bought the butter chicken and I bought chicken meat pies both of which has these hairs. I went to zarkys to speak with management and a woman who claimed to be the owner threatened to call police on me and asked me to lower my voice so other customers couldn’t hear my complaint. I wasn’t offered my money back and there was zero efforts to rectify or resolve the situation. To “prove” it wasn’t my hair I challenged her to grab ANY butter chicken meal which would likely be the same batch as mine and told her to open it and look but she was reluctant and refused. My advice, go to another establishment that cares for their customers and values public health and safety.

The premade meals are so good and there is plenty of variety. Their pizzas don't taste like they come from a store. The staff are always friendly and polite. 10/10

Love Zarkys, Dundurn st.Have great grocery and other items at reduced prices.I personally bought 4 large sized white chocolate Toblerone bars for $5.99 each! Perfect!
Great spot to go for lunch. The chicken is delicious and the cinnamon buns are excellent. Much improved over the ones they had before. I also really like their danish pastry. The chicken is now consistently good. They have really improved. Other than that, I remember trying the cold tuna salad a while back, and not liking it at all. It was poorly mixed, with all the pasta stuck together and hardly any tuna in between. But I'm assuming this was also improved.

Smaller Zarky’s; but they have the main popular items like yellow buns. Can get fresh fruit, hot foods, frozen foods.. etc.

Love this grocery store.There's a terrific selection of Zarky's precooked meal options. Add in a very decent deli, hot food counter and you get a super convenient quick stop.The parking lot right across the street on Dundurn makes it a total easy in, easy out shopping stop.
