This is a place my group of friends comes to every year when they’re in town for Sleepy Hollow Renaissance Festival. While I think the burgers are fine, I think the best thing about them is that there are so many options. That said, I’m a bit boring with my choice of burger. My advice? If you come here, customize! The place can be crowded, so my recommendation is to go in the evening and sit outside. I’m not a zombie movie or game fan, so the motif doesn’t really do anything special for me, but they make a good burger, and one friend in particular is very thrilled to get a shake there. Worth checking out.

49 states, three countries and the “Juan of the Dead” burger is hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned burger topped with chillie croquette, slabs of cheese, grilled onions and your choice of a bun or portabellos. There were so many choices, it was tough to choose just one. We added the garlic-bacon-blue cheese fries made with fresh cut garlic, and the N/A human centipeach milkshake. Fast and friendly service. I’m already craving more. 10/10 will be back

Great bar with a good atmosphere. The menu is great and has plenty of options for your choosing. The burgers were very good.

Drove from Omaha yesterday to finally try this place. Had been planning to come since my cousin and I saw the DDD episode few years or so ago. My teen and I decided to come in honor of my cousin whom passed now. It was VERY much worth the wait! Our server was great, and we loved the atmosphere. The food and shakes were SUPER bomb!! Highly recommend. We will be back very soon to do it again!!!

The food was great the waitress too . I followed the directions from Google maps and parked in the lot behind the building had dinner and discovered my car was taken . The parking lot is by permit only and Crow Tow took it and charged me 180.00 . What a scam ! Don’t make the same mistake as me !

We are a family of 7 from a small town west of Lincoln NE. We decided to take a family trip to Des Moines to eat at Zombie burger downtown. The wife and I had been before and enjoyed it. So much so that we decided to make the 3-hour trip with our family back to Des Moines. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were asked to wait for the hostess. No big deal. She was busy on the phone for approximately 10-15 with what sounded like a personal call. After the hostess was done on the phone, she proceeded to tell us that we were more than welcome to order from the Togo area as there was no seating available. Bar was empty, front patio had maybe 3 tables. Side patio was completely empty. We were basically refused service. Thank you, Zombie Burger, for not only disappointing my wife and I, but also our 5 kids. So, it's McDonald's and back to nowhere Nebraska. Hope you have a great day.

The decor here is worth it alone, but we also love the food! Our server was so nice and chatted with us quite a bit as we came at the prefect time when it wasn't too busy. We live 6.5 hours away and this was the 4th time we've had Zombie Burger and won't be the last. Tip- the women's bathroom needs to be painted! It's plain gray. The men's bathroom is 100% sick mural. My husband took a video to show me. So cool!

I got The Walking Ched. Complete with fried Mac and cheese as the "buns". Perfect smash burger tasted very fresh and made to order. Drink specials as well as weekly burgers. Great spot!

Fun place. Lots of cool zombie decor and great service. Wide beer menu and tons of milkshake flavors. Burgers were great. I had the Elvis burger - who knew peanut butter, fried bananas, bacon, egg, and cheese would work together? Loved it. Unique soft white buns. Great place.

I’d heard about Zombie Burger several years ago, so I decided it was a must stop when we were passing through Des Moines. I was super happy with the vegetarian options and my husband liked his more traditional burger. We each enjoyed a milkshake and shared the loaded fries. All of the above were delicious!

Wow. The best burger we've had. Period! Thursday evening. Visiting Drake with family. The beer menu was well curated. Music engaging. People hip and friendly.

This is a fun stop. I am a sucker for a themed burger joint and zombie burger leans way in. From the decorations, to the staff uniforms (?) menu items…it’s all on message. That said, considering the zombie theme the restaurant is not overly scary or gross. Oh and the staff is professional and friendly. And the food is tasty. I’d be happier if the bathrooms weren’t a long walk down a a slightly creepy hallway the sort of hallway zombies would be lurking. But yeah, I totally recommend zombie burger.

A constant for knowing you are getting a good burger/chicken etc. Always delivers what they promise.

If you haven't been to Zombie Burger, then you must come and try. Been here multiple times and have had different items on their zombie theme menu from Planet Terror (BBQ Bacon cheeseburger), They're coming to get you Barbara (2 Grilled cheese sandwiches as a bun for a bacon cheeseburger), Stuntman Mike's Nashville hot chicken, etc. plus the fries and the shakes that have cereal in it and can get the adult version with alcohol in it. It gets busy but still quick and friendly service! The interior is a zombie style museum. This must visit for zombie fans and food fanatics
