Not only do they serve great food with big portions but they serve a good community. I accidentally dropped my wallet while there and some kind soul turned it in. So grateful to whoever turned it in. Good to know there is good people around Harriston! Many thanks!
Excellent meal served hot and fresh. Extremely busy Sunday evening supper time. Kitchen staff were under a lot of pressure and nailed it. Canadian Burger, chili cheese fries, sweet potato fry poutine, battered mushrooms, deep fried pickles all prepared perfectly and tasted great. Highly recommend. We’ll be back.

The Red Caboose offers delicious poutine with real cheese curds, dark brown gravy, and fresh cut fries, as well as generous portions of Canadian burgers. The service is known to be friendly and prices are reasonable. Located in Harriston, it is a place where the community comes together, as shown by the honesty of a customer who turned in a lost wallet. On one occasion, the fries tasted slightly different, possibly due to a change in potato type or frying method.
