We stopped for supper on the way back home from a New Year’s party - this was a good find!! We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great!! We will return sometime this summer when we pass through again!!

Typically come and always get exceptional service. There is the one-off “okay” experience but the other ones keep us coming back. The owners are passionate about the business and want it to thrive.Would like to see tall boys of more domestic offerings, but other than that - everything is great.Bring back the spicy perogy pizza and pulled chicken sandwich!

This was the first time I've eaten here. The food was exceptional!! I would have preferred the vegetables to be cooked until tender rather than undercooked but otherwise everything was very delicious. Portions were generous. Very nice atmosphere, cozy and relaxing. I will definitely be back!One suggestion would be a lit candle at each table to enhance the already nice atmosphere.

I have been to every restaurant in the area frequently. This is the absolute best one. Whether you're into a soup and sandwich or a drink and a perfectly prepared dinner. McGillicafey's is an absolute have to go any day of the week. Just remember Thursday is karaoke, so be ready, bring your best, and sing your heart out. The staff is amazing and inviting to everyone. I extremely recommend coming to see for yourself. Tip well because the food is the best thing about this place. I sincerely mean it. I have never been disappointed in coming to eat here.

Had great pulled pork sandwich. And decided that next day will return and try their turkey dinner. It was also delicious! Very good service and super accommodating to food sensitivities. Great Caesar drinks ? . Overall very Lovely place !

Date of visit: Monday, Oct 9th, 2023Thanksgiving dinnerWe wanted to go somewhere to meet our eastern Ontario friends for Thanksgiving dinner. The restaurant we usually go to wasn't open this year for some reason. A quick Google search for Thanksgiving dinner gave us McGillicaffey's Pub as our option.I made a reservation to ensure we had a spot.When we arrived, we were quickly & pleasantly greeted and seated.They had turkey dinner on special, meatloaf, and several other items.We had 4 turkey and one meatloaf.The meals were all beautifully presented and served piping hot.The food was delicious.For dessert, we had deep-fried cheesecake which was huge, candied apple crumble and pumpkin pie.The desserts were excellent and decadent. The candied apple crumble had actual candy caramel crackles, which was terrific.The service was exceptional. Our waiter and host (bartender/ server) were amiable and pleasant. We had a great meal and great service.What a lovely find.While we knew we wanted turkey, their menu looks so good we will return for some other options.Hastings is an adorable town worth exploring

Food is amazing and staff is very friendly and even the people in the restaurant are friendly. Would definitely come back. Had the pasta penne and the meal was so filling and rich. Came with garlic bread which was crunchy and hot. Delicious!!!
