You can only get take out here since covid, and the prices keep going up, there was an increase when I ordered in January 2024 and again today, and not by five cent, we are talking price increase of $.65 - $1.00 on just about everything on the menu, I have been going to this restaurant since the late 1970's and has always been good but it keeps going down hill, this is the last time I will be going back. This time the green peppers were old and bitter tasting and the beef was old and no flavor, they have changed the sweet & sour sauce to a way cheaper/ no flavor one. We bought over $80.00 worth of food and am so disappointed. We won't be returning again.

Good food, generous portions! No dine - in options, don’t think you would want to as it’s dark and outdated inside. Looks clean though. Only open a few hours and not every day. I recommend as long as the owner is cooking the food .

This place is great for nostalgia, having been here for years. It's a staple in the community. But, on my last visit I found it to be dark, with no eat in option, and tired. This restaurant has long past it's heyday unfortunately. The food is good, but compared with Canadian Chinese in other communities, it is average. Tasty, but limited choices. All the favourite staples from years past are on the menu which is nice to see. Some restaurants no longer make dishes like Moo Goo Gai Pan and Egg Foo Young.It's still a go-to spot, don't get me wrong. But there are definitely better out there, just a fair distance away.

Ordered takeout for the first time. I got sesame chicken and pork lo mein noodles. It was pretty good, and there's not too many much options in Havelock. I have to say, portions are large. With these two items you could feed 3-4 people. The chicken is made very well, it's quite tender and not heavily breaded.. Sauce comes on the side so you can mix it yourself.Would definitely order here again.

Stopped in and picked up dinner on the way home. Food was ready fast. Super hot. Got home. Food was great as usual. This place is not fancy but, the food is excellent!

I have been going to this restaurant for over 40 years and without a doubt this was the worst food ever!!The chicken wings and egg rolls were so over cooked they had a burnt taste to them. The dishes were warm (not hot) at best and tasteless. Cost prices have increased and quality has decreased.I am sorry but I will not be a returning customer. Too bad!!??

This is one of the worst meals from there since we've been going (over 40 yrs, family tradition) The food was cold and the deep fried food tasted like the oil was bad and over cooked. This is upsetting as we have seen this restaurant decline in taste and quality over the past few years. The money didn't reflect the quality or the reputation of previous years.

I don't understand how this restaurant has such a high rating?? My dining experience was horrible. Now, to be fair this was a pre-Covid dining experience review but somehow I doubt it's any better, today. We had ordered the chicken balls, lemon chicken, chicken fried rice, Cantonese chow mein, sweet and sour pork and some veggie dish. It was horrible. The protein is overly breaded with a small amount of protein inside and is drenched in goopy and overly sweet cornstarch sauces. The veggies were mushy, the rice had no flavour and the noodles were hard. Just a bad experience, we won't be back.

No eat in available. Call ahead to order or you'll be waiting on the street or in your car. Food was ok. When you go in to order or pick up there is only room for one person. They have the restaurant blocked off so there is no room to wait for your food inside. Didn't find the lady at the window to be welcoming or particularly friendly, but I guess if you are the only Chinese restaurant within 10+ kms service isn't that important.
