I came in by myself to a half empty restaurant at dinner time. I was told very politely that there would be a 10-15 minute wait. I politely indicated that literally half the restaurant was empty. I was told that they were 'short staffed' so I could not be seated (I did not want to sit at the bar.
So I left. As did the people before me.
This is the third time this kind of thing has happened at this restaurant, so it's not an oversight - it's a policy.
This rarely happens at privately owned, mom-and-pop restaurants - it's a corporate thing. Profitably before user experience always.
I'm writing this from a restaurant like that right now, where it's also half empty but with plenty of staff to ensure the diner experience isn't compromised. For what it's worth, the people before me and after me at Kelsey's are also here. You do the math.

We had a wonderful end of school year lunch with our kids! Connie was a wonderful server! Everything was just perfect!

It was amazing ! Our server Lawrence was great ! He made the option of deep frying our bread and it was yummy ! Way to go ! Also makes delicious drinks and was friendly and efficient .
