Ordered the steak fajitas (which I've had before) but they seemed to have changed for the worse. Lack of flavour, overdone and very few peppers. All food (including rice) sitting in an oil bath. Disappointing. Atmosphere wonderful outside on the patio.

I came in by myself to a half empty restaurant at dinner time. I was told very politely that there would be a 10-15 minute wait. I politely indicated that literally half the restaurant was empty. I was told that they were 'short staffed' so I could not be seated (I did not want to sit at the bar.
So I left. As did the people before me.
This is the third time this kind of thing has happened at this restaurant, so it's not an oversight - it's a policy.
This rarely happens at privately owned, mom-and-pop restaurants - it's a corporate thing. Profitably before user experience always.
I'm writing this from a restaurant like that right now, where it's also half empty but with plenty of staff to ensure the diner experience isn't compromised. For what it's worth, the people before me and after me at Kelsey's are also here. You do the math.
