We recently visited the bridgeview for the first time. great location and view. patio must be full all summer!
on this visit we wanted to try afternoon tea. we had high hopes but left feeling disappointed. we had to make reservations in advance which is understandable.
When we arrived we sat for a while before we were greeted.
we were given a tea box to make our tea selections but after we chose our tea, it was a good 10 mins before hot water was brought....read full review
The food wasn't horrible, but I probably won't go back, and neither would I recommend them. We got there just after six for supper, and it was seven forty five before our food arrived.
I had a chicken club which tasted alright, but I was expecting it to come with fries; instead I got stale potato chips. My dinner companion had the brisket which he said tasted pretty good although it was kinda dry.
The atmosphere was great though, and the waitress was very nice.
I had a lovely time spending Mother’s Day with my mother and we did the tea and loved it!! We definitely would recommend others. Great service and friendly staff!

Bridgeview Dockside Restaurant & Patio offers a view of the St. Lawrence River and the international bridge, although the view can be partially obstructed by concrete grain elevators. The service is friendly and good, with staff who are pleasant and attentive. The food is homemade, with dishes like the amazing calamari and a delicious fish & chips. The chicken club sandwich is also amazing and fresh. While some BBQ items can be disappointing, other meals like the Prime rib Friday special are cooked perfectly. The atmosphere often features live entertainment, adding to the laid-back vibe in a space that looks like an old time 50's diner. The restaurant has a good selection of craft beers at reasonable prices. Free onsite parking makes it a convenient spot. Desserts are homemade and like those from mom's kitchen. Overall, it’s a hidden gem on the waterfront with friendly service.
