Nice historic pub on the river. Unfortunately when we were there, they were out of some ingredients but the wings, onion rings and chicken burger were good. Drinks were nice and cold straight from an old time cooler.
Found Stanley Tavern after spending some time at Kakabeka Falls and was very hungry and tired. Seemed to be a happening place and lots of locals there, so that was a good sign. There wasn't much by way of air conditioning but it wasn't too hot. I had a bacon cheeseburger and mac and cheese tots that were pretty good. Typical bar food but the staff were super friendly and welcoming.

Stanley Tavern is a hidden gem with exceptional staff and great food. The Stanley burger is a highlight, offering a filling meal with spot-on taste. The mushroom caps are also excellent, with a perfect balance of crunch and flavor. The pub serves typical bar food, including deep-fried mushrooms, poppers, and burgers, at reasonable prices. The patio offers a spectacular view, making it a great spot to relax.
