Two of us went to D'arcy McGee's last night. We ordered the fish and chips special for two for $55.00. This (we were told) included an appetizer and dessert. The wrong appetizer was served. They took it back and about 5 minutes later, we received the correct one. The meal was fine. We waited about a half hour for our dessert, after being asked if we were ready for dessert. We were charged $10.00 for it, over and above the $55.00. We were not impressed.

Service is not that great, servers would bring you chicken wings or nachos without napkins and plates, don’t even ask for wet napkins. They bring food plates with forks and knifes. Service standards are not up to the level expected in Canadian sport pubs.

I ordered a cobb salad with chicken breast - there was hardly any chicken, and what was there was extremely dry and burned. Also, the avocado on the salad was not ripe at all - it was so hard it was inedible. They did not have any shepherd's pie (a staple menu item), which is the only reason my friend wanted to go to this restaurant! The food was very disappointing. On a positive note, the service was great.

Overpriced beers and mediocre food ! The quesadillas where hard and crunchy to the point i couldn’t eat them and manager gave me a mediocre “discount” don’t waste your time here ! Staff however are great !

Wonderful food, staff and atmosphere! You won't go wrong coming to eat here, it's worth every pennie! The steak pie and stew are well worth having on multiple occasions, topped off with homemade apple pie is the very best!!
Disaster!! We booked through Open table a reservation for 8 well in advance. It was a 94 year old and 70 year old birthdays. When we arrived at the restaurant, they told us that they never received the reservation from Open table and the server argued with me, until I showed her the confirmation on my phone. We were left to fend for ourselves, and had to move the tables ourselves to get our seating of 8. We were not offered the dining room area until later, we were left in the bar area with no other patrons. The food was very slow to come out and the 70 years old burger had to be returned because it was not fully cooked. It was so upsetting because the 94 year old was really looking forward to Darcy McGees and that very well may be the last birthday she celebrates, and it was so disappointing.

Called earlier in the day to see if they would be playing the hockey game and if we could make a reservation Were told that they would absolutely be playing the hockey game, but no need to make a reservation as they wouldn't be busy. When we arrived it took quite a bit of time for a server to acknowledge us. When she did, she said we could see if we can find a table but there's only two servers, they're completely overwhelmed, and we wouldn't be served for awhile. Found a table and waited for 15 minutes, no one came by so we left.

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it was raw. They got me another and didn't change for it... but even with that said...I make better burgers and fries at home.
