Amazing service as we were a large group. Orders came out quickly and mostly together. Food was good, possibly some more herbs in the sauce would make it better.

The food is always fresh and delicious, and the portions are generous. The manager and staff are always so friendly and welcoming. I had to drop the atmosphere score because they had a more old world charm with the Italian-centric decor prior to being renovated years ago.

If you're looking for an authentic "East Side Mario's" experience, drive an hour, fight for parking, and be prepared to leave hungry because—plot twist—they won't seat you. Why? Short-staffed. No produce. The kitchen is "swamped." But don't worry, the manager has a stellar solution: drive another 30 minutes to the Bells Corners location! (Because clearly, you're craving a road trip, not dinner.)

Apparently, empty tables mean nothing when you're 60 minutes behind on entrees and fully committed to turning away customers. As for the suggestion to sit at the bar and at least have a drink while waiting? Nah, better consult the manager for that too—this is clearly a high-level decision.

The real kicker? We weren’t alone. About 14 other people were politely told the same thing, while we all stood in awkward solidarity, hungry and increasingly skeptical of our life choices. Thanks for the memories, East Side Mario's—it's not every day a restaurant actively tries to not feed you.

Save yourself the time and gas money.

We come to East Side Mario's often but tonight we had a special treat! Being a server once myself, I find myself generally disappointed in the service I usually get at restaurants however this evening we were served by Jack H and right from the start he greeted us to let us know he will be right with us! Normally your waiter being busy runs by you a bunch before stopping to greet you. This was a pleasant surprise and right through to the end of service he was exactly what you'd expect, going above and beyond, being attentive and friendly. Highly recommend asking for Jack! Best experience we've had in a long time!

East Side Mario’s is my 2 nieces favourite place to eat and since we were visiting from out of town we thought we would treat them to their favourite. We usually love every East Side we visit but the service here was so awful I do not think I would be back. We arrived at 8:05 PM and were very rudely told we close at 9!! We were a party of six and we sat and placed our orders. You know that feeling when you’re really not feeling welcome that was the feeling for our entire visit. Then when the bill came I let the server know I had CAA at which point she tossed down a pen and paper and said write down your number and walked away. I then overheard her tell a co worker “they have CAA” in a tone that expressed how much further frustrated she was. We paid our bill and left but overall it was without a doubt the worst thing East Side Mario’s experience ever.

Really nice dinner last night. Service was very good even though it did get busy after we arrived. The Italian wedding soup was a bit too salty for me but had good flavour. Everything else was fresh and tasty.
