I haven’t had the chance to visit Saboroso Bistro in person yet, but I recently had the pleasure of trying their food at my child’s classroom potluck and wow, it was incredible! The sweet and sour chicken was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever tasted, my husband and son went up for 3 rounds lol and the glass noodles were packed with flavor and perfectly cooked.
What makes it even better is knowing that the people behind the food are just as wonderful. Danielle and her Fiance, the owners, are truly amazing people...warm, generous, and passionate about what they do.
I can only imagine how fantastic dining in must be. Can’t wait to visit soon and try other things on their menu :)

The food was amazing, of course we already knew that when we had the tasting. Great communication. We look forward to working with her again for family events.
Food is fresh with excellent flavors. Atmosphere is simple and modern but comfortable. Very nice staff that are welcoming and social.

I had an amazing time dining at Saboroso with friends—it was one of those evenings that just hits the spot. The food was outstanding, especially the Sisig. As a longtime fan who’s even learned to cook it myself, I didn’t expect to be this impressed. But Saboroso’s take on it was next-level.
What made the experience even more remarkable was discovering that the chef—who I believe is Canadian—crafted such an authentic and flavorful dish. It’s not every day you find that kind of culinary crossover done so well.
The personalized service was the cherry on top. The chef herself came out to check on our meal and chat about our dining experience. That kind of thoughtful touch is rare these days and made us feel genuinely welcomed.
If you’re looking for great food and warm hospitality, Saborosa is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

So proud of my friend for creating Saboroso! The food is truly authentic Ilonggo cuisine—every bite reminds me of home. The sisig is addicting and the chicken inasal is bursting with flavors. Warm hospitality, heartfelt service, and a true taste of Iloilo. A true gem for Filipino dining! Couldn’t recommend it more.

Service - such a lovely staff! The owner ate danielle is a gema nd a joy to be around. She always ensures everyone is well taken care of and always talks to everybody! Saboroso is not only a bistro, it is also a catering service that can cater/serve events or bigger party so check that out also!

Saboroso is a brand new Filipino restaurant in Ottawa’s west end. I highly recommend it! My husband and I tried their sizzling Sisig which is a mix of pork belly, liver, and lots of spices. So delicious! Their roast chicken is one of their signature dish, it’s called Chicken Inasal and it will make your mouth water. They have other dishes serve in a bowl that’s consist of rice, other protein, some cucumber and Atchara which is pickled shredded green papaya.
Leave some room for a dessert because they also have Halo-Halo. Well you know what that is! 😀

We tried the family platter and halo-halo. A bit of a drive for us but definitely worth it. Good portions for the price and the sisig was our favorite. Staff were very accommodating. The only downside was that the signage was a bit hard to spot since it’s shared with two other shops.
