I stopped to grab food after a crazy long day at university. The service was amazing, incredibly fast, and I know the veg was fresh because the workers were refilling the trays seconds before I ordered. Not to mention, the portion size is amazing. I ordered the plate, and easily had leftovers for the next day (which reheated amazingly)

Food is good. Portions have really got small. Family platter is not worth it same with the dinner for two. Sandwiches are smaller as well. When they first opened it was big portions definitely less compared to other locations

Amazing experience at Shawarma House Kanata. Extremely friendly service and great food. My partner is a vegetarian and they insisted on making fresh eggplant and cauliflower for her. They pointed out all of the vegetarian friendly dishes and gave generous portions. We came in near close and they told us not to rush and assured us that we are welcome to eat there. Definitely going back soon :)

I usually complain because some sandwiches are only one bit all the way down...and I'm happy when it takes 2 bites...but this one was so big it took 3 bites! Biggest sandwhich I've had. Plus they ha e spicey sweet and cabbage! 5/5!

We purchased a family shawarma platter from this restaurant, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfying. While waiting in a long line, we had a clear view of the staff and the food preparation area. It was quite concerning to see that despite offering a set menu, the portions of meat and chicken were added without any standard measurement—completely by eye. This lack of consistency is a serious issue, especially when everyone is paying the same price.
Compared to many other shawarma places, this one does offer a generous amount of salad, pickles, and sides. However, the actual meat portion is minimal—just enough to barely cover the rice underneath. For a meal that costs around $100, you end up with a plate full of garnish and very little actual meat. It was truly disappointing to have to search for the chicken or beef in a dish that's supposed to be centered around it.
On top of that, one of the younger, bearded staff members was noticeably rude to some customers. While it's not uncommon to encounter unprofessional behavior in fast-paced food environments, his attitude varied significantly depending on the customer, which was quite uncomfortable to witness.
Overall, I would not recommend this place. If you're going to spend that kind of money, I suggest choosing a restaurant where you’re paying for quality meat—not just salads and pickles.
