Had no idea this place existed until we searched sushi. We normally frequent another local AYCE sushi place. The place isn't a high touch service, a hybrid of self service (water and tea) and service taking order and dropping the plates. We tried tempura, salmon lovers plate and torched salmon Bento box. They all hit the spot! Couldn't point out a flaw. Tempura and spring rolls were fried to perfection. Salmon sushi were all consistent in cut, rice was good not pasty or mushy. Torched sushi was my fav with the extra flavours. Price was reasonable. Will return and I recommend.

So far Sushi Eki has been my favourite quick eats sushi place in Ottawa! I usually get the salmon poké bowl and they do not skimp on the fish and toppings. I always found the fish to be quite fresh! Delicious takoyaki too! It's a smaller space to eat in (not too many tables), and works better as a takeout place, but if you do eat in, they have a nice little self-service tea and water station. Would highly recommend!

Picked up some take out from Sushi Eki because it rated very well and the prices looked good. They didn’t disappoint! Very good portions for value on the platter. Also, some of the most generous pieces of fish I have seen on/in sushi. Definitely recommend trying this very clean restaurant.Give yourself time if ordering on a busy night. It was an hour wait for our pickup but well worth it.

Tried many places in Ottawa, and Sushi Eki is by far my favourite place. Everything we got was delicious, fresh, flavourful, and tasty.
It is my absolute favorite Japanese restaurant in Kanata. The food is always delicious, it has a good price. Family atmosphere and the owners are sweethearts. It does get a bit busy sometimes and it can take awhile.
