The Royal Oak offers a great atmosphere with friendly staff and nice live music. It's a popular spot for Sunday breakfast and a great place to grab a beer and watch a game. The pub pies are great with nice lightly cooked vegetables, very good mash potato and gravy. The food quality is ok for a pub, with reasonable prices. The Oktoberfest special beer was great. The late-night menu is limited, but the wings are a highlight. Overall, it's a welcoming spot with excellent service, making it a local favorite and a place to meet familiar faces in your neighborhood.
