The food quality barely diminishes with takeout, so we still get a great meal at home. Quality is also always consistent.

Went here last night and it was just ok! Food quality ok for a pub. I got the crispy chicken sandwich and the breading didn’t seem thick enough - it quickly got soggy and slipped off the chicken as I ate it. My husband got one of the “Oaktoberfest” specials which seemed to be mostly just sausage, fries and ketchup. The Oktoberfest special beer was great though! Service was also really good and friendly. Just wish the food was better!

The food was mediocre at best. Of the six meals my party ordered, four of them were unenjoyable. The best food to eat here is basic pub foods, such as burgers, chicken fingers, etc.
The service was decent for most of my party, other than the fact that the server was hard to find at times, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, it was busy.
My real issue for the service comes from one member of my table being completely ignored for the entire evening. Since the server never asked her any questions, she was the only person with an inedible meal to have to pay for it. For her to ask for a refill of water, other people would have to speak for her. I doubt this was intentional, but it still left her feeling isolated by the end of dinner.
I'm still giving this place three stars, because I know how harmful bad reviews can be to a business, and I want to believe that this was just a one-off situation.
Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian selection, although we didn't try any of them.
Dietary restrictions: Some ingredients containing allergens are not mentioned in item descriptions. I had to return food due to an unmentioned ingredient being present in my dish that I have an intolerance to.

Went there for my dad's birthday, good pub food with items he likes and finds easy to eat, and prices are reasonable. The pub pies are great with nice lightly cooked vegetables (though these was a bit tricky for dad to eat), very good mash potato and gravy. Friendly helpful staff.

Jay and company always make me feel at home and friendly. There is a level of hospitality and respect that is lacking from 'corporate' establishments that this place fulfills but the staff takes an everyday pub to a friendly place where everybody knows your name.

Took 15 mins to get noticed and served and literally fell asleep waiting to get served another pint of beer the service was slow I don’t think I’ll go there again to be honest….

The items on the menu and great service is just right to meet with friends! I really appreciate that the music is not so loud ... you can actually talk with friends without shouting! Friday there is a special on fish n chips! Nice outdoor patio with umbrellas for cover to hang out on the nicer days
