butter tarts, butter tarts, butter tarts…… I can’t get enough of the butter tarts. The Riverside inn has definitely put norland on the map with the fantastic service and great atmosphere. At first me and my slightly intoxicated friends walk in with no expectation. We were very sceptical, considering we were getting (out of town looks) and were feeling judged. We made a phone reservation 10 days ahead and we were seated on arrival. Service was ok although the waitress was not the friendly type in fact almost curt. As though she was doing us a favor. My hamburger was a bit dry (waitress didn't ask me how I wanted it done) and my son's gluten free chicken dish had 2 or 3 strips of chicken. See Pic. When the bill was brought the same waitress suggested I tip. I would have anyway and did but the demand was annoying.
