“*disclaimer this is long winded but make sure to read it* So when this location reopened I had a few issues with it.. left a Google review (if you look you may still find it) since making my initial review and rant about how much things have changed.. I was contacted by the owner asking what they can do to make it right... I listed everything I felt was the issue at the time. he said thanks for the criticism and to come in and they'll make sure they fix those things I listed. Well I didn't go in for almost a year. When I finally did I was amazed at how the owner and his manager worked hard addressing all my issues (which I felt was amazing) after we chatted and I noticed they were trying to do right by the things I listed I started to go more often. and now it's my go to pizza joint again and I'm not looking back.. I want to say thanks to the owner and his manager for being a small percentage of businesses that actually takes a nobody customer criticism and works with them to make sure they have the best food and service possible!! 10 out of 10 I definitely recommend”

“Another local gem – The Noodle Bistro!
Bangers, bangers — I’m on a roll with these amazing local spots, and once again, this one shined through.

Let’s start with the pork: beautiful, tender strips, lightly seasoned and melt-in-your-mouth perfection. And the broth? OMG — what a gorgeous combo of fish sauce and Vietnamese spices. Pure flavor heaven.

The veggies were crisp, fresh, and had that perfect crunch that just elevated the broth even more. Now let’s talk about the noodles — silky, heavenly strands that soaked up all that delicious broth and curled up on my chopsticks like they wanted to be devoured.

I threw in one little chili for that extra kick, and it was just what the bowl needed.

Also ordered the fried spring rolls — not too greasy, with a nicely seasoned pork filling that paired perfectly with the dipping sauce.

And shout out to our beautiful, wonderful server — she was an absolute gem and made the whole experience even better.

“C’mon, who doesn’t like an ice cream cone!
And Kawartha makes pretty darn good ice cream.
We were cruising down Highway 35 out of Algonquin Park and Lo and Behold, a beautiful Kawartha Dairy outlet.
In we went for a cone.
The sales board said the “large” is actually “huge”, so of course that is what I had to have.
And gosh if it wasn’t huge.
Some German tourists outside on the picnic tables asked ‘won’t all that ice cream make you ill’, to which I replied ‘if it does it’s worth it’, and of course it didn’t.
Nice throw back shop with lots of parking.

Doing the math today, I figure it's been about 40 years of enjoying Terry's Chips. I used to roll in with a car load of lads from high school with Def Leppard blaring, but now I'm just half deaf.”

“Chef Joel’s menu is absolutely delicious! Tonight we tried the butternut squash ravioli & the Sasquatch Burger 🍔 we definitely recommend! This chef knows what he’s doing & we’re excited to try each & every item on that menu! Everything is so full of flavour! I wanted a real meal this weekend for dinner to treat ourselves, instead of Swiss chalet or fast food chains, we went locally cooked instead & I’m glad we did! “This place has a very extensive menu and everything is homemade and very delicious. The prices are reasonable and the owners are very friendly and helpful. I was even given a free sample of one of their new menu items. I would definitely recommend trying this place if you're looking for a good value for your money.”

““Don’t judge a book by its cover”!GREAT food- aged yet quaint and clean interior setting-authentic but also have “Canadian Chinese” option on the menu ;) !!! We had tough luck on our long drive as our favourite food places weren’t open this time or under renovations-so that’s how we decided to give a new place a try- and boy are we happy we did!!
