Food was delicious, service was friendly, but damn it has absolutely no atmosphere at all. Ugly place. Delicious food and a great value, if you don't mind eating at one of the ugliest restaurants I've ever seen. That back wall?! What were they thinking?!

Absolutely amazing staff, food, and service every single time I visit. Love the environment they’ve created and my meals are always absolutely amazing
In order for this business to survive, I predict an attitude-adjustment is most definitely needed in the kitchen! On July 10, 2025, my two senior friends and I went there to enjoy, what we thought would be, a nice lunch. They live in Lindsay & recommended this restaurant, because they had eaten there before and were impressed. Instead of enjoying a nice lunch, we left there, with thoughts of bringing harassment charges against the cranky guy working in the kitchen. 🙄I don’t know if he was having a bad day, or if that’s how the business is run. If that guy is Jason, the new owner of St. Dave’s Diner, I can certainly understand why it wasn’t renamed “St. Jason’s Diner…Dave may have been, but this guy’s certainly no saint! That was my first, & most definitely last, time visiting this restaurant. After leaving there, all three of us shared the same thought…even before that cranky man stuck his head out the front door behind us, yelling to “never come back here again!!!” OMG!! Our lunch date turned out to be quite an experience. My friends had assured me the food was good & I could see it was very busy, which is usually a positive sign. We most likely would have enjoyed a very nice lunch, if things hadn’t transpired the way they did… We were all ok with having to wait for our table. And we realized the two waitresses were very busy doing their jobs. But all three of us questioned why we were waiting so long just to get our menus brought to our table. Especially when several people who arrived after us, got their menus & had placed food orders before we even gotten menus. Again, we realized the girls were busy & perhaps didn’t realize it. After a few more minutes our menus arrived, we placed our orders & chatted while we waited for our food. But then we noticed that 3 or 4 tables that were empty when we arrived were being filled, they got their food & a couple tables had even finished eating and left. I asked the waitress if there was a problem with our food order. She said sorry for the wait, I’ll check with the kitchen. She did not return to our table, so after another few more minutes, I went to the kitchen to inquire about our order. I explained to the lady there what was happening, that we had placed our order half hour ago…and was wondering if there was a problem. She looked at the orders above the window & said your order is next. At that point an elderly man came rushing out of the kitchen & said (not in a polite tone) I can’t hear what you’re saying! What’s the problem here? (I found out quickly what/who was the problem there!!) I repeated to him, what I had just told the lady. As I was speaking, I pointed out to him 2 more customers who came in after us had eaten and were leaving. He said, in a grumpy tone…yeah, but what did they order & what did you order?? I said I don’t know what they ordered, but we ordered a wrap, a western sandwich & your chicken burger special. He said it takes 12-15 minutes to cook the chicken!! I said but our order was taken half an hour ago. He then said you could’ve left!! I quietly said, perhaps we will and went back to the table where my friends were sitting. I told them our order isn’t prepared yet & they’re very rude. I asked them, how do you feel about leaving here? They both agreed & we left…after being there more than an hour., as my friend’s husband is in poor health and wasn’t feeling great. As we were getting into our car, this rude “gentleman” opened the front door and yelled at us “ DON’T COME BACK HERE AGAIN!!” We just looked at each other, stunned~😳
Two adults two kids cost us about a hundred bucks for breakfast but on the pricey side but food was delicious. Place is great. Service was great
Bought a burger and fries. Burger was great, fries were burnt and obviously cooked in old oil.
Not fancy but always good food and service
