Decent food, but come on guys no coffee no tea that’s a bit of a no-brainer If you decide to start serving coffee, let me know

My sister and I stayed in the Bobcaygeon area from September 8th-11th, 2025. When we first arrived, there was an unfortunate mix-up with our accommodations at a nearby cottage. We found ourselves with nowhere to stay on the night of September 8th. We went into town and had dinner at the Bobcaygeon Inn, as we tried to figure out what else we could book for the night. We told our waitress, Shannon, about our dilemma. Shannon went out of her way to find us a room at the Inn, even delivering the key to our table. She was so concerned and helpful.
Our room was clean and quaint in the best possible way, with a beautiful view of the water. All the staff at the Inn, including the owner, couldn’t have been kinder.
Luckily, our accommodations were sorted out by the next day and we received a refund for the first night at the cottage. But I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Inn again. Lovely, considerate people, especially Shannon.

We boat on the Trent Severn waterway and when we go up the Bobcaygeon we always stop at the Royal Moose. Great food wonderful staff and dogs are always welcome

Came here for Sunday late lunch. Ordered a quesadilla and a banquet burger. It was fairly busy, and when my burger came out it was a little too dry than normal the burger was also in 3 pieces with cheese on top. Talked to management and they were more than professional about the experience that I just had. They took it off the bill and offered to make it right. Although I was pressed for time so me and the lady shared the quesadilla which was amazing. I can understand that running the kitchen and grill etc can be hepatic at times because I come from a commercial kitchen background but I wouldn’t send out a burger in multiple pieces.

BUT I will say because how professional the owner and server was; I will be returning! And I will be bringing friends

Was planning to dine here when I come to town soon. But just found out they told my friend they wouldn't seat her by the water because she was dining solo, even though the restaurant was almost empty. Very discriminatory! And a very poor move on this restaurants part as the solo female travel community is very large and tight on social media and now the news is out!

Went there to eat on the grill patio. Had my dog with me. They would not seat me at a water table even though there was only one table taken. Said they don’t seat solo people at those tables. I left.

We drove here specifically from Ottawa. The food is very good. We had the fish and chips as well and hot wings. It's a beautiful view by the water (if sitting outside) the gentlemen we were talking to (i think he was the owner) was very nice and welcoming.

Awesome location, great portions and fabulous food. The Banguet burger was very good...and filling. And the fresh cut fries were so good. We will be back, just out road tripping today and googled restaurants.

Great place to stay, really good food, and nice view on the water. What more could you ask for?

I have stayed here several times. This time we were in a beautiful room overlooking the river, the bathroom was huge and a gorgeous shower. The patio is always fun. I love sitting by the water having lunch in the summer! The only thing that I could say needs improving is The image of it as a hotel. There is no clear entrance and where it says office there is a lot of garbage inside and barking dogs. It would help a lot if somebody would pay attention to the landscaping as well. Otherwise I love this place!

Lady working was so rude. Bigger older girl. She kept walking away because we were looking at menu to long and was undecided because online menu was not the same. She even went over to bar and was like I think they are fighting. Held my tongue and walked out.

Horrible place,
This motel was not as it appeared on the website.
The motel hallways were musty, there are no accessibility features at all, had to go up 2 sets of creepy stairs, the bathroom sink had rust in it, the closet was being used as storage and not usable, parking was inadequate, furniture and all other features are outdated, there was a plastic doggy poop bag on the table adjacent to the entrance.
One star is overrating this facility, it is not worth the cost of $159/night.
I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

Absolutely the worst place my wife and I have stayed in anywhere in the world in the last 40 years.

Place stinks, towels smell like body odour, room is a mess, could not find the front desk. It’s a crappy, run down dump. And here’s the slap in the face, they charged almost $200 for the night.

Showed up and no idea what door to enter in, Daniel the owner finally came out and said sorry he was eating dinner. He then went on to say he is entitled to eat because he works long hours….Who the hell cares? You own and run an in..stay at the front desk so guest can check in.

This place should be closed. Please don’t waste a single nickel on this place,, disgusting.
