The Bobcaygeon Inn And The Royal Moose Grill & Waterfront Patio

Quaint, historic inn with characteristic charm. Room was clean and presented well. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. And the food quality was out of this world. For all the positive aspects of my stay at the Bobcaygeon inn, so came the downsides. Check in was at the bar (something I am not accustomed to given the I live and work in Saudi Arabia) Hot water was in short supply. Would I plan another stay at the Bobcaygeon in? Definitely not. Would I eat at inn’s restaurant? Definitely!

Ordered some take out, not the first time. A couple of times order was wrong but you suck it up. This time it was totally wrong, i ordered a veggie wrap, was charged for a wrap that would have meat because they dont offer veggie wraps 🤔 asked specfically for cheddar cheese no sauce....ended up with a greek salad wrap. Called the restaurant and advised our order wasnt correct, ended up speaking to this woman that was unbelievably RUDE Says, yea well we got it wrong its very busy here what do you want me to do about it? WOW nice customer service! I guess if you pick up youre not considered a valuable customer. You were fine charging ridiculous price for the wrong food! She ends up saying, yea I cant do anything about it Ill get the manager to call you tomorrow and all we were asking for was perhaps a correct wrap next time but she doesnt have the 'authority' to approve that. Then why take the call?? Cant wait for the manager call tomorrow, hope that person is just as rude! Last visit to that joint!

We come here all the time strictly because after Thanksgiving most places are closed but the lady that owns the place is so rude and has 0 customer service. I own 2 businesses myself and couldn’t imagine treating customers the way she does. I love supporting local businesses but hate supporting a company that treats their clients so terrible.

What a joke a restaurant that doesn't even have milk or cream for tea or coffee but they sure have additude I guess we didn't have enough money for their high society I'll take our business elsewhere cherri-o

The fish and chips were nice! Good piece of haddock, tasty tartar, and nice fries.

Great food and excellent selection of beers. The best spot in Bobcaygeon for pub food.
Wonderful staff and one the the best places to come to by boat.

Love our summer afternoons on the Moose patio. It's a great location with friendly staff, good food, and cold beverages. It's a must for any visitors to Bobcaygeon.

Just went to the Royal Moose Patio and met the rudest staff I’ve come across in a very long time. The only reason the service is a 1 star is because Google doesn’t allow 0’s. The place was not busy at all. We were a party of 6 and asked to sit by the water. The First Lady said rudely that they don’t put tables together and we would have to sit way back from the water. The reason we went here was to sit by the water, not for the food as it’s sub par. Our waitress then came over and we asked if we could just have a drink and wait for a 6 person table to open up by the water. She stated they don’t allow people to switch tables. We said we wanted to sit by the water and that was the whole reason we came here. She said “ya I already heard”. Needless to say, we got up and walked out. We will never return to the Royal Moose and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place. If you want great food in Bobcaygeon and friendly staff, go to Graz.

Had a great weekend in Bobcageon staying at the Inn. For a very old building, I was surprised at the cleanliness of the place. Our room was small, but semi-updated and clean (which is really all that matters to me). Great location and I would definitely go back. The patio restaurant was nice, standard patio/bar food and atmosphere.

Did not stay at the hotel, but stopped for lunch at the Royal Moose Grill. Fantastic location and comfortable patio. Service was excellent and the food was good. Reasonable prices.

We've ordered from here often and every single time they forget an item. Last night it was the fries. Website does not have an updated menu. Two items I wanted they didn't have. I was told I must be looking at an old menu. Food is just ok and pricey for what get. Looks like they reduced their poutine portion by half at a hefty $9.99 price tag. Might be enough to feed one 5 year old.

Also a gentleman walked around the building trying to find out how he could check into a room he booked. A waitress said that's not her responsibility but go find a man in a bright colored shirt and he can help you. Then another waitress walks in and said 'We don't have a designated reception area for check-in's. We all kind of over see it.'

I tried to help that visiting tourist find somewhere to check in. So many doors, no clear signage, poorly managed in my opinion. My family and I won't order there again nor recommend for anyone to book a room.
