Should Google reviews consider holiday hours and staffing issues, because these factors may have contributed to the poor review I'm about to write. I was there Boxing Day.
Question to the reader: do you expect a fast food place in a blue-collar town to give the same standards as downtown big city? I would say yes, but this place reeked (metaphorically) of a business that caters to a rough working class that don't care that the floors are perfect.
I ordered a Teen Burger combo with fries and a root beer and the place was not busy at all. The food was timely but the fries were cold and had no seasoning.
A review 6 months ago identified a bunch of cleanliness problems that, word-for-word, still persist. Granted it was winter, but the floors were at a critical point that they needed a wash. The mop and bucket were leaning against the wall just outside the order counter.
The windows were dirty on the inside. The stainless counters and all the tables needed a sterilzed wipe down. There are no hand sanitizer dispensers anywhere. The women's bathroom had two toilets that were out of order. One of the toilets was filled (google Cheech and Chong toilet scene). The men's bathroom needed cleaning and had no paper towels.
The other bad review had pictures of the condiment station. 6 months later, it looks exactly the same. The ketchup dispenser is out of service, the counter beat up, needed cleaning. The fountain machine, out of order. Even a cash register seemed broken as I watched an employee struggle to close it.
I didn't take pictures but the 1-star review from 6 months back has pictures that haven't changed at all. This store is in a sorry state.

Worst A&W I’ve ever been too. Sat at the speaker for 4 mins this morning before being acknowledged. Ordered 2 onion rings with extra seasoning. Sat for 7 mins in line behind 2 cars before getting to the window where I was told they had NO seasoning for the onion rings. Thank you wasting my time. Myself and the car ahead drove away with no food.

Change your hours and stop wasting peoples time
730am means your employees should be there by 7am to set up and open the kitchen, not set up at 745am and wait till 8am .. do yourself a favour by changing your hours to the correct time

I am beyond disappointed with my experience at A&W today. After the kind of long day that would test the patience of a saint, I came in expecting fresh, hot fries the absolute bare minimum. Instead, I was served stale, floppy, room temperature potato sadness AND FOR 40 BUCKS for 2 people is insane to me especially with the quality of the meal… Honestly, I don’t know who thought it was acceptable to hand those out, but I would love to have a conversation with them. If I wanted fries that tasted like they’d been sitting out since last Tuesday, I would have asked. Absolute CATFISHED with the ads they post This is not the standard I expect, and I’m seriously considering taking my business elsewhere unless something changes. A&W, do better.
If you're looking for a place that doesn't have ingredients for their featured foods, or you're hoping to have your food made incorrectly or served cold despite being ridiculously expensive, then you've found the perfect spot with this absolute gem of an establishment. I'd recommend going literally anywhere else.

Went through the drive through because I wanted my baby to keep sleeping. They had a huge speaker blaring music at the cars waiting that was reasonably loud through the car even with all windows closed. I had to wait there for over 10 minutes even though 1 person was ahead of me. Does not meet my expectations for a drive through.

Worst A&W around. I keep going back every 6 months hoping it’s better but never. Onion rings are always mushy with no flavour (they never use the awesome seasoning!). Burgers have small portions of toppings, taste like they have been sitting on the grill waiting. Even the pop is flat!! Staff never have hair or beard nets. Restaurant is dingy. Owner should be ashamed!

Great Oldschool Feel Like The Old Burger Joints As a Kid.The Service Is On Point And The Are Top Notch. Giving This A 4 Star Rating Not Because Of The Food Or Service Only The Atmosphere Could Be A Little Updated Is All. Definitely Will Come Again.
