I don’t know what kind of sorcery JJ’s is running in that kitchen, but every time I get the family shawarma platter, I forget my problems, my taxes, and occasionally my own name.
The garlic sauce? Illegal levels of addiction. The chicken? So juicy it should come with a warning label. The rice? Fluffier than my emotional support pillow. And those pickles? Sharp enough to cut through the noise of everyday life — and my willpower.
We order the family platter “to share,” but let’s be real — it turns into a full-contact sport at my table. There’s yelling, bargaining, and the occasional fork duel for the last piece of chicken.
JJ’s doesn’t just make shawarma — they make life decisions harder. Every other shawarma I’ve had since feels like a knockoff. If this place ever closes, I’ll be in therapy by Tuesday.

On the way home to Toronto, stopped off here. Some of the best shawarma i’ve had in Canada, and the owner JJ is so kind and generous. The prices are amazing, and the portions are almost too much even for a small. Fantastic place, i’ll definitely come back next time i am on the way to Ottawa!

Simply the best service I have ever received. Like absolutely incredible, such kind people. This was my first time trying this place out and I knew even before I got the food that this would be our new go to shawarma spot from now on (new to the area). It wasn’t until I got home when I tried the chicken shawarma and potatoes that I realized the food was top notch, just like the service.
Came here off the highway due to kids needing a break and found a nice gem of a shawarma restaurant. The location is well maintained, clearly the owner has pride in his business. The food was great and the service was the owner who was very pleasant and kind to my family and went out of his way to be helpful. Overall a great experience and I would recommend it to others.
