I drove/walked by Elpida a hundred times - I’m so glad I finally came in! The espresso was excellent, the hot chocolate was amazing (my husband a hot chocolate aficionado asked if he could have a second one!) and the baked goods vere lovely. Most of all the young couple of Elpida are beautiful - warm, friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and community oriented. Love this cafe - you are Elpida in this cold impersonal world! They always have new and fun seasonal drinks! The flavours are unique and make for a novel experience every time you go. The owners are so sweet and friendly and their community involvement is amazing! They have a board to buy a meal for those in need, and it’s so wonderful to see how generous people are. We love to get their BLTs and a drink before hitting up the surrounding thrift stores. It’s the perfect place for a cozy breakfast or snack!

As a coffee shop owner, this place is everything you expect and that’s a good thing. It’s rustic, warm and cozy. They use high quality syrups, the best Canadian brand “genuine tea” for their tea based drinks and they invest into their cups using not just biodegradable but compostable brown cups. The sitting is limited however there’s a few extra chairs and tables outside for the warm season. I ordered a small latte (although I believe a single shots shouldn’t exist and everyone deserves a double shot, I was pleasantly surprise by the technique and the steaming of my latte) order a medium if you’d like a double shot or remember to add one for the small cup.
The options are infinite I invite you to be curious and go outside of your confort zone and ask the barista to guide you to find your unique drink !
Best place for a great cup of coffee and a little treat. I would recommend going here to anybody!

We are so lucky to have a coffee roaster of this quality in the area. Great coffee, great staff, great food, and always a collection of great local items (chocolate, nuts, honey etc.). Thank you also for offering dairy-free cream cheese! Elpida is one of our family favourites!
