We went to the Corner House Bistro recently for my husband’s birthday. We live in Keswick but this was our first time there. We had heard great things and had always wanted to go! The experience exceeded our expectations!!! Everything we ate was absolutely amazing!! All of the staff, including the owner, were so friendly, served food in a timely manner, were knowledgeable, and all this with a personal touch!! I would go back again in a heartbeat. If I could, I would give this restaurant a 100 star rating!

An absolute gem of a restaurant. After a screwup in the reservation - which was our fault entirely- we were still greeted and seated promptly. The menu was very extensive for such a small establishment and they have an excellent wine and cocktail list. There’s a fixed price 3-course option which is very reasonable for the quality you get, plus an extensive a la carte menu with many daily options. The service was attentive and friendly, but not cloying. The highlight of the evening though was the food. It was flawless. The last time I had food this good was in Ramsay’s Heddon Street Kitchen in London but still The Corner House edged him out! I had scallops, rack of lamb and coffee ice cream. All three were spectacular!
Definitely worth the trip to Keswick.

The atmosphere is incredible, service is prompt. V and her husband out do themselves, every, single, time! When I think the food can't get any better, they prove me wrong.
At this past visit, we had family join us to celebrate a bunch of occasions. To say the least, they have not been satisfied with any meals from restaurants lately. We told them, we have THE SPOT!!
Our family is still raving about the meals, and we ordered half the menu. And my 88 year old fussy grandmother was beyond impressed!!

We went to The Corner House Bistro for Mother’s Day and had an incredible experience. We started with the fig salad, which was fresh and delicious. Both my girlfriend and I ordered the prime rib, and it was hands down the best prime rib we’ve ever had—perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavour. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent. A perfect spot for a special occasion—we’ll definitely be returning!

Went there again October 2024. Not the same. Food quality was not as good. Service ok except for owner constantly checking up when server was done their job well. Got to be annoying.
My Husband and I moved to keswick about a year ago and always passed this place by, from the outside it doesn't look that appealing. We finally decided to take a chance based on the great reviews and have dinner and we are glad we did, looks can certainly be deceiving because the inside was lovely and inviting. We were asked to leave our coats at the front which was different but we went with the flow, the Owners added a special touch by greeting each table which made it personably. The food was tasty and good portions, I have a few allergies which they were able to accommodate which I appreciate. The waitress was somewhat friendly and did seem a little annoyed with some questions we had but we will chalk it up to the restaurant being busy and hopefully next time we visit the reception will be a little different. Overall we do recommend this place.

Had a lovely dinner with my family. The service was absolutely incredible, the best experience dining out I or my family have ever had.
We had the prime rib, and it was the best prime rib any of us have ever had, the serving was extremely generous! The cocktails were delicious.
The service was well timed and executed flawlessly, the staff were funny and made us feel welcome instantly. The owner introduced herself right away and it was overall just an exceptional night. Will be back!

What a Gem this spot is! Went in with the wife 1 hr before our movie started, the owner was able to get us our appetizers, full meals, and out the door we were right on time for our movie. Will stay longer next time great friendly atmosphere!
