LOCALE King City Restaurant/Bar

The atmosphere and the food were pretty good. The server was actually the best. He was funny, courteous and professional. The bill was a bit high given that we only ordered appetizers and drinks but hey, that is the going rate right now. I felt that they were so rude at the beginning because we waited at the door for few minutes without anyone greeting us, every waiter and bar tender smiled but that was it. However our waiter was so friendly and nice.

Locale King City is a favourite destination for my wife and me to dine at and for our adult kids and their families. It consistently meets or exceeds our expectations for friendly staff, excellent service and delicious food.

Food and service was great as always. Noise level is a bit of an issue even though it was not overly busy we found it hard to hear from time to time.

It was five stars all the way around. I would definitely go back. Just one quirk. We asked for butter for the bread. We were told by our waiter that it would be a 3 dollar charge. Found this to be totally out of the ordinary. As I wrote above I would definitely go back again.

Not the first time but my guest and I had not been to Locale together. His first time. Everything was a great experience. Service and food was awesome. Highly recommended.

Saturday night dinners at Locale King City are always fantastic from the service to the food to the wine to the ambiance. The experienced servers provide a wealth of knowledge when deciding what to order; the sommelier's knowledge of wine (especially the unadvertised cellar options) provides a fountain of information; the food is always better than expected; and the setting is vibrant & engaging. Returning again & again is both a pleasure and a forgone conclusion.

The service was slow, not sufficiently staffed , has to wait for a long time for the waited to pay attention.

Amazing food, amazing service and great ambience. Always amazing at Locale. I love the limited and seasonal Menu as it means that what ever they bring out is going to be exceptional.

I cannot say enough about how amazing this place is. From the service to the food, everything is impeccable. There is a certain level of professionalism from the staff that you just do not get from other restaurants. Every time we come here, we never leave disappointed. There’s a reason why this is our go-to restaurant. With a rotating menu, there is always something new to discover. Highly recommend!

Until last Saturday I always loved this restaurant. But last weekend we had a bad experience. They claimed they gave us a pound of mussels - in the past they always did. That night 3 of us got the mussels- there were so few it was ridiculous; it was nowhere near a pound. The problem was not well handled when we complained.
Its not nice being taken advantage of like that- we’re not stupid sheep. Bad for goodwill to misrepresent like that. That dish was a lot of bread with some smallish mussels, and was not worth $24.00. I was on a high protein diet so it was not at all what I expected or wanted.
I told them I won’t be back anytime soon.

Our server Eli was very attentive. The drinks were delightful. We had the Empress Slush. Strawberry Margherita and the Amalfi sunset. All were potent and enjoyable. The only downside was our meal took close to an hour but the apps and drinks were on point in terms of timing. I had the pasta and wild boar dish. It was a very healthy portion. I wouldn't hesitate to dine here again.

Have not been there in over a year as I live downtown Toronto. That said, it is worth the drive. Excellent service. Delicious food - everyone enjoyed their meals (6 of us).
